What’s your very first treat stop after you enter Magic Kingdom?
Do you head straight to Main Street Bakery for a cuppa joe, or do you take in a few attractions while patiently awaiting a midday hot dog at Casey’s Corner?
Maybe you prefer to start the day at Magic Kingdom’s premiere sweet stop, the Main Street Confectionery.
Let’s say your traveling buddy’s tradition is to grab a Mickey Krispy Treat first thing in the morning (hey, it IS made of cereal!), but you’re in the mood for something a little more breakfast-y.
Well, you may be able to find something in that beautiful bakery case after all: a Strawberry Oat Bar with Smuckers Jelly.
It’s similar to a [Read more…]
Alright guys, today we’re taking it back. Like, waaaay back! Who remembers Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom BEFORE it was a Starbucks location? Well, we do, and we think about it more than we’d like to admit.
And you know what one of the best things was about the old Main Street Bakery? The cinnamon rolls, otherwise known as the undisputed breakfast of champions! Seriously, just look at this.
And I know that the cinnamon rolls at Gaston’s Tavern in New Fantasyland are supposed to be the same. Well. Okay. Whatever you say, Disney.
But whatever the reason, those old Main Street Bakery ones are still my favorite. And I do wish you could still get them — and all those scoops of extra icing! Yum! Well, no matter. Because we have the recipe! And knowledge is power.
So I can make them anytime I’d like. And now, so can you. 🙂

Yield: 16-18 Rolls

It’s funny: Liberty Square Market is smack dab in the middle of Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square. And yet, somehow it remains something of a hidden gem. I’m referring to the structure itself, and also its food offerings. You never know what you might find at Liberty Square Market.
Well, that’s not entirely true. You do always know you’ll find lots of grab-n-go options, like bagged chips and whole fruit. And you’ll find them in a pretty cool setting! But there are always a few surprises here, too! Let’s check out a few of the details.
There is a lot of charm packed in this not-so-huge space. And all of it perfectly complements its Liberty Square surroundings, from the open-air building…
…to the font used on the menu.
I like the barrels of Mead, Ale, Grog, and potatoes! (Please note: Liberty Square Market sells neither mead, nor ale, nor grog ;D) . It does, however, sell potatoes! More on that in a few…)
My very favorite is the cart full of chips. I like to think this was how the Founding Fathers picked up their Doritos and Cheetos after a long morning of drafting Constitutions and what-not. You know.
You can take your goods to this seating area behind the Market. Tables are often [Read more…]

It continues to be be chilly out there, guys!
And I don’t know about you, but when it’s cold like this, all I want is some comfort food!
One of my favorite homestyle desserts in all of Epcot is Sticky Toffee Pudding, which you’ll find at the Rose and Crown Pub and Dining Room, located in the UK Pavilion of World Showcase in Epcot.
This new British classic features a cake that is very moist in the British “pudding” tradition. It’s topped with the combo of Butter-Rum and Vanilla Custard Sauces, making for a sweet ending that’s hard to resist!
This is definitely one that you can enjoy anytime the fancy strikes you with this awesome recipe!

Now, see? I write ONE little post about my favorite Disney Park restaurants, and suddenly I’m craving all of my favorites from Walt Disney World!
After answering the question “What is your favorite restaurant in each park?“, suddenly I’m dreaming of allllll the other places I’d eat today in Walt Disney World if I could!
And since I can’t, it’s time to drag out the recipes! Today we have something fairly easy, but with a big WOW factor — Mousse au Chocolat from Boulangerie Patisserie Les Halles in Epcot’s France Pavilion.
(The recipe we are sharing is from the former Patisserie Boulangerie, but it’s simple and divine. The presentation is different, but it still tastes delish.) 🙂

Today, I’m feeling a little nostalgic for some of my favorites from the OLD Boulangerie Patisserie in Epcot’s France Pavilion.
Sure, the new and improved Boulangerie Patisserie Les Halles, with its expanded counter and indoor seating, is super nice! And the pastries and other offerings are pretty delicious.
Still, every once in awhile, I get a craving for something that’s been tweaked right out of existence, like the classic Napoleon that used to be one of the Boulangerie Patisserie’s hallmark pastries.
If you enjoy this delicacy as well, I have great news: with a few steps, you can replicate the awesomeness at home!

Oh. My. Word… at LONG LAST!
Dole Whip and Popcorn Air Fresheners have arrived at Disney World!!!
You remember these, don’t you :)? Last Fall, a few of our favorite Disney snacks were highlighted in a unique way. For the first time, guests were able to bring a few beloved Disney snacks (and their scents!) home with them in the form of air fresheners. You can read the reviews of each of these scents here.
The original foursome is still available: Turkey Leg, Mickey Ice Cream Bar, Candy Apple, and Mickey Waffle.
As fun — and truly iconic — as these fresheners are, the initial selection immediately begged the question: “Soooo… where’s the Dole Whip?”
And now, it’s HERE.
You know what else? It. Smells. TERRIFIC!
Of all the fresheners available, I think this one is the closest match to its real-life mate! And the image is even more realistic [Read more…]

These are addictive, delicious, and a must-have on your holiday snack table. You’re welcome. ;-D

And now…a recipe for a super-interesting new dessert in Disney World!
When the brand new BoardWalk Bakery reopened earlier this year, we were there bright and early on the very first morning to bring you a full account of what was new, and what was returning.
And while we found many brand new things to love, like the Lemon Meringue Tart (sigh), one of our top pics was the Peanut Butter, Banana, and Candied Bacon Pie!
Sounds pretty keen, doesn’t it?
Well, it kind of is! The combination of [Read more…]
