Hi there, adventurers!
While it’s still a bit underrated, we enjoy visiting Magic Kingdom’s Skipper Canteen for its awesome atmosphere, intriguing eats, and fun cocktails, like the Schweitzer Slush. Unfortunately, we learned that Skipper Canteen has run out of the souvenir mugs that come with the slushy drinks. 🙁
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar
knows its way around a collectible mug. This vibrant spot at the Disneyland Hotel offers up funky drinking vessels regularly throughout the year, including super popular (like sold out in hours on release day popular!) options like the Holiday Elephant Mug, the Nautilus (in two forms!), and the Hatbox Ghost Tiki.
And now Trader Sam has introduced a brand new Shrunken Zombie Head mug! The head hunter is no stranger to zombie head mugs, truth be told, and these new ones — brought to us by our Insta-pal @batikDesign — really capture that un-dead spirit! [Read more…]
One of our favorite times to visit the Magic Kingdom is in November and December when the park is dressed up for the holidays. While we were there this week we found new merchandise, checked out construction progress, spotted some of Mickey’s birthday treats and merchandise still hanging around, plus found a new exit to a popular ride!
Let’s start this week’s update out on Main Street U.S.A. where we found new dresses, purses, yummy treats, and a Minnie sink as well as sweet ways to continue celebrating Mickey’s 90th!

Whew! What a week it’s been for food news from Walt Disney World! We learned about the opening date for PizzeRizzo, changes to lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, the (almost) full list of narrators for the 2016 Candlelight Processional, AND expanded options for food booths coming to Epcot’s Holidays Around the World…. to name just a few!
And would you believe it doesn’t end there? We thought we’d pop in with a quick update with EVEN MORE news from around the World. Starting with… [Read more…]
You can never have too many Disney mugs.
If your kitchen cabinet looks anything like mine, it’s full of mugs and you’re still excited to find more that you “need.” And, I think you’re gonna need one of these new mugs from the Magic Kingdom’s Confectionery on Main Street, U.S.A.

A while back I told you all about enjoying lunch recently at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe!
At that time, I promised to highlight a fun part of our lunch — the Slush served in a Souvenir Boot.
Welp, today’s the day. Let’s take a closer look at this fun little keepsake to determine if it’s worth your time and money.
Serving drinks in boots — plastic or glass cups shaped like boots, that is — really isn’t anything new at Disney. After all, we’ve been enjoying Root Beer Floats in a similar vessel practically forever at Disneyland’s Golden Horseshoe Restaurant. Because nothing says vacay like drinking a Root Beer Float out of footwear! (Complete with Whipped Cream and a Cherry!)
And just a little while back, I couldn’t wait to show you guys when the boot finally made its way East, and landed at Pecos Bill’s. It didn’t feature a root beer float, but they were serving a refreshing Root Beer Slush out of it at that time. It featured the logo from the hot Disney movie du jour at the time — The Lone Ranger.
When I stopped by Pecos Bill’s for lunch recently, I was glad to see that they were still featuring this fun souvenir item. After all, you’ve gotta stay hydrated, so why not? And having a swell cup to take home and remind you of all the Magic is pretty awesome.
But this time around, the Root Beer Slush has been replaced with a Strawberry Lemonade version.
I was surprised to see that the boot is now [Read more…]
