For today’s DFB Video, we are sharing with you one of our all time favorite snacks — Dole Whip!
We love Dole Whip for so many reasons — it’s tart-sweet tanginess…the refreshing way it says, “Hey! You’re on vacay!”…and the fact that you can get it on BOTH coasts! [Read more…]
Happy Friday! Who’s ready for a classic Walt Disney World treat?!
Ever since the real Citrus Swirl came home to roost a few years ago, we can’t get enough. We were never fans of that Orange Sherbet concoction that masqueraded as Citrus Swirl for a while.
And today, this fan favorite treat is the star of our latest DFB Video!
Swirls of icey cold frozen Orange Juice yum, plus Vanilla Soft Serve. Sigh. I’m so ready for another one of these right now. It’s the perfect treat to enjoy on a sunshiney Florida day. And it’s the very next way we’re bringing you the best food that Disney has to offer via our new DFB Channel on YouTube. [Read more…]

Who’s up for some chocolate?!??
If there’s one thing you can count on, it’s that a choco-craving is bound to strike while you’re in Walt Disney World. And when that happens to me, my favorite way to answer the call is to find a Brownie.
And the great news? Disney World has some ah-MA-zing brownies. [Read more…]

2016 is nearly upon us
, and so we find ourselves looking back at all that 2015 had to offer. It’s been an exciting time, full of huge announcements about new venues and attractions and lots of progress on previously announced projects. Before we bid goodbye to one year and welcome a new one, let’s review where we’ve been and see a glimpse of what’s to come!
There was a HUGE disturbance in the Force — the Disney Force, that is — this summer when Disney announced that Star Wars Land would be coming to both Disneyland AND Walt Disney World. The crowds went wild! [Read more…]

There have been lots of memorable dishes from the 2015 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.
But one that we continue to hear you rave about is a return dish from 2014 — the Piggylicious Cupcake from The Smokehouse: Barbecues and Brews Booth!
The cupcake made a BIG impression on us from the first time we tried it. And it’s definitely addictive, with that sweet salty combination of flavors.
But we all know that the trip to Disney isn’t always possible. And even if it is, the Flower and Garden Festival will wrap up in just a few weeks.
So I’m really happy to share this recipe with you today on the blog! Because once you hear about a Disney cupcake that combines bacon, cake, and maple frosting…well…there’s no way you’re NOT gonna want to make this!

There’s an iconic dessert in Disneyland that everyone’s got to try at least once. Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue offers giant cookie bakes for dessert, which are amazing; but they also offer a S’mores Bake built for a crowd!
We had a chance to sample this dessert firsthand a while back.
What makes this version of s’mores so fantastic? It takes your indulgence to the next level by making it on a base of Brownies. Brownies.
For ease, this recipe calls for a Brownie Mix to get you started. But you should absolutely feel free to substitute your favorite brownie recipe if you’d like to make the brownies from scratch. Either way, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be awesome.
Enjoy!
Serves 8
Ingredients:
1 (10.5-ounce) box fudge brownie mix
1 (1-pound) bag large marshmallows
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons hot fudge sauce, warmed
8 graham crackers

It’s time to pop in and see what’s what at one of the best Disney spots for treats, BoardWalk Bakery!
The Bakery has always been one of our favorite spots for sweet treats, but it’s a can’t-miss every trip since it reopened after a major overhaul last year!
The Cheesecake Brownie and Peanut Butter, Banana, and Candied Bacon Pie are some of our favorites! And their Lemon Meringue Tart is probably my favorite pastry treat in all of Walt Disney World.
But Boardwalk Bakery is also one of our favorite stops to find those amazing Disney World Cupcakes.
The Mickey Oreo Cupcake captivated me at first glance because it’s just so darn cute. Underneath all of the fun trimmings, it’s a very simple cupcake — Chocolate Cake and Vanilla Icing, with a little surprise inside — and trimmed with Red Candies. But the garnish, though simple, adds something pretty special. It also bears a striking resemblance to another BoardWalk Bakery Mickey Oreo Cupcake from the past — the Oreo Bon Bon Cupcake.
Sitting on top is an Oreo Cookie, half-dipped in Red-Colored White Chocolate to resemble Mickey himself! Add a couple of Chocolate Discs for ears and Yellow Candies for buttons, and voila!
But tucked inside, there’s another item of interest — a thick, mousse-like [Read more…]

It’s September! Yay for cooler temperatures, right??
Well…maybe not quite yet. But we’re all dreaming of Fall flavors, even if the mercury is still registering in the 80/90 (or higher) range.
If I were in Disney California Adventure, I’d just mosey on over to Cozy Cone Motel and grab a cold one at Cone Number 4. 🙂
Nah. I’m not talking about that kinda cold one. I have something even better! (Well. I think so, anyway.) It’s Red’s Apple Freeze to the Rescue!
But since I am not, in fact, anywhere near Disneyland (sigh), I’ll have to make do and make my own. And we can SO do that.
It looks a little like beer, doesn’t it? But this is a frosty beverage even the littlest in your company can enjoy. This concoction combines sweet and tart — no-sugar-added frozen apple juice flavored slightly with marshmallow, and topped by a creamy, passion-fruit froth. Yep. It sounds weird. But it works!
(And yes…you Walt Disney World Lovers…feel free to call it Le Fou’s Brew and dream that you’re in Gaston’s Tavern if you’d like. Same difference. 🙂 )
Wanna know how to make it at home? Give this handy recipe a go!
Makes 3-4 Servings
Foam Topping Ingredients:
1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream, cold
4 tablespoons Mango Nectar/Juice
4 tablespoons Passionfruit Juice
3 tablespoons Sugar
