Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
We’re anxiously awaiting the arrival of not one, but TWO, new restaurants at Disney Springs. The EPCOT transformation is scheduled to be over soon. A NEW ride is being constructed in Magic Kingdom. PLUS Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is getting a brand new structure for new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) villas. So let’s take a look at what those villas look like now.
A NEW Disney hotel is on its way and it’ll be opening sooner than you might expect.

Over on the west coast, NEW Disney Vacation Club Villas are opening at the Disneyland Hotel. The new DVC tower will open officially on September 28th, 2023. We’ve already shared a first look at some of the rooms, details about when bookings opened, and more. But now we have another update.
Disney World will always be a work in progress — and that means that there will almost always be some kind of construction going on there.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
EPCOT is still undergoing a HUGE transformation, new restaurants are on the way, new rides are being constructed, and MORE. Over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) villas are being built and we have a HUGE update about the work we’ve seen over the past month.
The hotels at Disneyland are getting some major changes right now!

The Paradise Pier Hotel is being re-themed to become the Pixar Place Hotel, and over at the Disneyland Hotel, a brand-new Disney Vacation Club tower is being built! We got a first look at the new DVC villas, which are themed to Disney films like The Princess and the Frog, The Jungle Book, and Fantasia. If you want to reserve your spot at one of these new villas, you’ll need to know WHEN reservations open!
It might seem like there is ALWAYS something under construction in Disney World, and that’s often the case!

Now, it looks like MORE DVC Villas are going to be getting a bit of an update!

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a Deluxe-level resort, and it’s also on the Magic Kingdom Monorail loop. It has gorgeous lakeside views, some fantastic dining, and prices to match. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
As hotels like Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn prepare to reopen, others like Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort are undergoing refurbishment. And now, over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, some BIG changes are underway.
With the Disney parks reopening on July 11th, a lot of guests are looking to solidify their plans.
Disney World
Select Disney Vacation Club Villas and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are set to reopen on June 22nd. For those Disney guests with reservations between the reopening of resorts and the reopening of the parks, there are a lot of questions.
Now, Disney is reaching out to guests to help in modifying, canceling, or CONFIRMING reservations — even for those booked at closed resorts.
The Disney World theme parks will begin reopening with Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom on July 11th, but guests actually will be welcomed to the resorts weeks before that.
The Villas at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House
Disney Vacation Club Resorts and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are set to reopen on June 22nd. Notably, upon announcement, some DVC properties were not listed as one of the reopening resorts. Though Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas — Kidani Village were listed, the Jambo House Villas were not. Hmm. Oddly enough, we were just able to book a reservation at Jambo House! So what’s going on?!
