We asked our resident Cast Member alumni to share some PAINFUL stories of things they’ve seen guests do in Disney World. Don’t make these mistakes — come with us to see the mistakes we see many people make on vacation. Don’t worry! We’ve got easy fixes for them!
They’re warm. They’re yummy. They’re picky eater-approved.
You can’t go wrong!
Yessiree, we’re talking about chicken tenders. They’re a Disney World staple for many; can you even visit Disney World without grabbing a basket of piping hot tendies? Anyway, sometimes we find ourselves missing these bad boys and we wish we could have them at home. Well, we found out that you totally CAN have them at home. As long as you know a Disney World Cast Member.
Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog. In what now feels like a former life, I came from a land of warm hugs and hiya pals. Yup, at one point in time, I spent hours of my life hugging strangers, signing books, dancing on the castle stage, and smiling for pictures when literally no one could see my face. It was seriously the most out-of-body (literally) and mind-blowing job I’ve ever had but it was no walk in the park.

As a performer, I encountered quite a few not-so-pleasant experiences that could have been avoided if people just knew a few helpful tips when interacting with a character in Disney World. I also experienced some of the most memorable interactions, and I’d love to share how you can help make those happen for yourself and that performer you’re interacting with!

But, handing out free cotton candy or Mickey Premium Bars aren’t the only ways that they’re saving the day. Cast Members do a lot behind the scenes both on the job and beyond that makes an impact on others’ lives and one EPCOT Security Cast Member was recently recognized for doing just that!
Disney Cast Members have gotten some exciting news lately!

Disney just relaxed its employee dress code, allowing for more self-expression (and we’ve loved seeing Cast Members embrace their personal style!). Cast Members also received news that they’d get a one-night stay at a Disney hotel! But now, Disney has revealed a little bit of bad news.
The past year has been a challenging one for lots of Cast Members.

Many Cast Members were furloughed last year and thousands were laid off. But, recently more Cast Members at Disney World and many over at Disneyland have reportedly been called back to work, and rules have even changed when it comes to Cast Member appearances and the “Disney Look.” But now Cast Members at Disney World may be able to get an extra special perk!
