The first signs of Christmas are officially appearing in Disney World!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
We recently spotted the iconic gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian being constructed, which is a good sign that Disney World is getting ready to haul out the holiday decor! But when we headed to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to try out the brand new Lightning Lane Premier Pass, we spotted some of our all-time favorite winter decorations.
The holiday season in Disney World means new merchandise, special events like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and special ride overlays. But one of our favorite things about this season is seeing all of the beautiful decorations at the parks and hotels!
Holiday decor
The iconic Christmas tree is up over at Magic Kingdom, the giant gingerbread house is being decorated at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and we’ve even spotted snowflakes in EPCOT. The holidays are already in full swing in Disney World, with decorations, merchandise, and ride overlays in the parks. If you’re visiting for the holiday season, don’t forget to check out the Disney World HOTELS as well — some of the coolest decorations and most delicious snacks can be found there!

Okay, EPCOT, we see you. We may still miss the Cinderella Castle dream lights over in the Magic Kingdom, but Spaceship Earth is saving the day! Now that the holiday season has FULLY arrived in Disney World, let’s talk about the park some serious holiday spirit: EPCOT!
Now THIS is gorgeous
Between the Festival of the Holidays, the fan-favorite Candlelight Processional, the holiday scavenger hunt featuring Olaf, AND the holiday overlays on two attractions, there is a lot to see and do this winter in EPCOT! But, there’s one ride in particular that you HAVE to see at night!
Holiday decorations are going up in the Disney World theme parks, gift shops, and hotels.

So far, there have been awesome decorations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (home of the giant gingerbread house), Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and more. Epcot Christmas Decorations
We certainly can! Especially now that Epcot hs started putting up its GORGEOUS Christmas decorations in Disney World!
It’s November 8th, everybody! And, you know what that means — ALL the Christmas stuff in Disney World!
Animal Kingdom Christmas Tree
And, while we’re taking you on a wild journey today to Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom, we’re also traveling to the safari for a festive time! Animal Kingdom is seeing amazing new Merry Menagerie puppets, DinoLand U.S.A. lights, gorgeous animal lanterns, and even some festive garlands in Pandora! And, tonight, the Tree of Life Awakenings will kick off for the holidays! Animal Kingdom is REALLY getting in the festive spirit and pulling out all the (sleigh) stops, and we’re coming at you LIVE with everything you can expect this year!

Halloween only was on Thursday, but Disney World has already started transforming Magic Kingdom into a Winter Wonderland!

We’ve seen holiday phone cases, delicious treats, Tomorrowland Speedway’s seasonal overlay, the return of the Jingle Cruise, and news of the first castle lighting happening TONIGHT! But, lights have been strung and holly has been hauled ’cause one of our favorite Christmas decorations has been put up in the park!
