Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Magic Kingdom!
And, we’ve got plenty of merchandise, crowds, and construction updates to share with you. So, let’s jump right on in!
Disney World has a LOT of updates, refurbishments, and new projects in the works, and sometimes, it’s hard to keep track of them all!
Sure, we’re all excited about all big upcoming attractions, like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and TRON Lightcycle Run. And we can’t WAIT to see the interactive hotel/experience Star Wars Galactic Cruiser! But those are just a FEW of the projects underway at Disney World right now. So with those being so HUGE, it makes sense that some of the smaller projects get lost in the shuffle, although they’re still in progress.
It’s another exciting week for construction projects in Disney World as yet ANOTHER project is completed!
We’re taking a look at the many ongoing projects in Disney World right now, AND sharing a firsthand look inside the newly opened M&M’s Store in Disney Springs!
Disney World is totally revamping EPCOT with new attractions, nighttime shows, and even a new look!
EPCOT is a literal maze of construction walls and gutted buildings at the moment. The theme park is undergoing a MASSIVE overhaul that will totally transform the theme park. Guests will be able to experience all sorts of new adventures when it’s all said done. So, let’s take a photo tour so you can see exactly what the construction progress is and what construction looks like on ALL the BIG EPCOT projects.Â
Disney Springs has a few new SWEET spots opening soon, like Gideon’s Bakehouse and a brand-new M&M Store.
We’ve also been keeping a watchful eye on the construction happening over at Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, which was showing some signs of progress on our most recent visit!
When we talk about the EPCOT Transformation, we spend a lot of time focused on the BIG aspects.
Sure, the Future World work is exciting and we’re pumped for the Harmonious Nighttime Spectacular, but what about the small details? We love the colorful new paint that arrived on the ticket booths a while ago and now there’s another little update!
It can be hard to remember sometimes, but Walt Disney World is gearing up to celebrate its 50th anniversary next year!
To prepare for that, the entrance sign to the Magic Kingdom is getting a makeover!
There’s nothing quite like the drive up to Magic Kingdom.
It just gives you a happy feeling, doesn’t it? That iconic archway seriously has a special place in our hearts. Today, though, we noticed something a little bit different about the famous Magic Kingdom sign. So, what’s new?
We were strolling through World Showcase today when we spotted a bit of a surprise.
EPCOT is certainly Disney World’s biggest work in progress. Between the Future World construction and upcoming attractions, the EPCOT Transformation is in full swing. That means we tend to see a LOT of construction. Today though, we spotted some construction we WEREN’T expecting.
There’s a MAJOR Disney World construction coming up and it tends to fly under the radar.
We’re so focused on projects inside the parks like the EPCOT France Pavilion expansion or the upcoming Space 220 Restaurant, that we sometimes forget about the projects happening right outside the park gates. Take, for instance, the major World Drive overhaul to help ease traffic outside of Magic Kingdom. We haven’t thought about that one in a while but now, Phase 2 of the project is officially starting!
