March was a BIG month of news for Disney World and lots of news can sometimes make for surprises!
From dining changes to health measure updates and more, let’s take a look at the four most unexpected things that happened in Disney World in March!
OK, y’all. It’s time to talk about the unsung hero of Disney World dining: resort food courts. Now, we know what you’re thinking: “Why on earth would I eat at those spots when there are options like Casey’s Corner, La Hacienda de San Angel, and JIKO out there?” We totally get it. But these cafeteria-style restaurants can do one thing for you that all of those places CAN’T.
These fast, casual restaurants can be there for you, right inside your hotel, even late at night when you’re just craving a slice of pizza or a burger. They’re easy to find, have a lot of comfortable options, and are generally much cheaper than the table-service restaurants in Disney World. Let’s visit one of these restaurants today to find out if it’s worth a visit during your upcoming trip to Disney World. [Read more…]
We just found a couple of NEW snacks in Disney World, and they’re both at a location that doesn’t get a whole lot of time in the spotlight. But could these tasty eats change that?
Magic Kingdom is not exactly known for its dining scene, although you can find some classic treats (like DOLE Whips) and delicious snacks (like Casey’s Corner corn dog nuggets with plastic cheese) inside this park. But when we’re looking for a mind-blowing meal, we usually head over to a nearby resort restaurant, like Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort or ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Could the new eats we found inside Magic Kingdom convince us to stay in the park instead? Let’s find out! [Read more…]
Did you know that you can eat in SPACE in Disney World? (And no, we’re not talking about the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser hotel). We’re referring to Space 220 in EPCOT, which is located in the World Discovery section of this park! At this restaurant, you’ll board an elevator and head “220 miles above the Earth” to eat your meal in space.
We’ve already eaten just about everything on the menu here for lunch, dinner, and the lounge, but now Disney has added some brand NEW items! Are the latest eats enough to tempt you to make a reservation? Spoiler alert: there’s one dish in particular that we think will be a BIG hit with many guests. Check out our full review of the new items here! [Read more…]
Maybe you blew your whole budget for that trip to the Mediterranean on a trip to Disney World instead, but you can come close to getting that Moroccan seaside outdoor cafe experience in EPCOT! (We really will do anything to convince our family that the money was better spent at Disney World, right?!)
We’re talking about a SERIOUSLY underrated and overlooked restaurant — Spice Road Table! You’ll find this quaint and cozy restaurant on the shores of World Showcase Lagoon in the Morocco Pavilion and almost everyone is just walking right by this hidden gem (that’s relatively easy to get into!). It’s been a little while since we last enjoyed a full meal here and a lot has changed, so let’s find out what we’ve been missing!
We’re here to tell you that you’ve been doing character dining WRONG in Disney World.
Chef Mickey’s is a classic, and Tusker House has some super unique (and tasty) dishes. Crystal Palace can be cute with all the Winnie the Pooh characters, and Storybook Dining at Artist Point has a villain AND a forest. But we personally feel like none of those places can top the restaurant we’re visiting today. Have we got your attention? [Read more…]
Happy St. Patrick’s Day, friends!
There are a lot of ways to celebrate this Irish holiday in Disney World, like with special holiday treats and even a whole St. Patrick’s Day festival in Disney Springs! But, there’s another fan-favorite Disney Springs spot celebrating today, and they’ve got specially-themed holiday drinks to boot!
We’re heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to eat at a SERIOUSLY underrated restaurant.
Granted, this spot hasn’t been a top priority for us in the past. With some really fun restaurants in the park — like 50’s Prime Time Café or Woody’s Lunch Box — we used to write off this spot as not worth the money or stomach space. But recent updates have pulled the eatery back into the game, so let’s head in to check out the grub! [Read more…]
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and Disney is preparing to celebrate!
There are SO MANY things to see and do around Disney World (and Disneyland) for the festive holiday — from a full-on St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Disney Springs to several NEW treats and eats all around Disney Resort hotels! Today we started the celebrations early and tried a new St. Patrick’s Day treat over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Is this one you should get during your next trip? Let’s find out!
We spotted NEW 50th Anniversary eats in Disney World today, and they might make you reconsider skipping one Magic Kingdom quick service restaurant.
Normally Magic Kingdom isn’t our favorite park for food. In fact, it’s close to the bottom of the list since the other theme parks have more unique and interesting options. But one quick service spot just got a couple of fun, new options on its menu, so of course we had to try them! Let’s see if these new eats are worth the stomach space in Disney World. [Read more…]
