April was a big month in Disney World! Expedition Everest finally reopened after a months-long closure, Salt & Straw in Disney Springs opened its doors, and traditional character meet-and-greets returned to the Disney parks for the first time in years!

Disney World recently changed their face mask guidelines, and now fully vaccinated guests are not required to wear masks at indoor locations (with some exceptions, including on transportation). But is it possible that more updates are on the horizon?

Several other theme parks have adjusted their face covering policies as well, including Disneyland, Universal Orlando, and Universal Hollywood. Now the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has changed some of their recommendations as well.

It is the first water park to reopen at Disney World and is operating under a variety of health and safety guidelines, much like the theme parks. This includes reduced capacity, temperature screenings, physical distancing markings, and face coverings. The face mask policy is a little different than we’ve experienced in the parks, so we headed over to experience it for ourselves!
