The new generation of MagicBands is coming to Disney World next week (on July 27th). These bands will have several new features, such as haptic vibrations that play along with nighttime shows in the parks, interactivity with 50th Anniversary statues, and access to a Bounty Hunter game in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. NEWS: FREE MagicBands No Longer Being Offered to Disney World Annual Passholders

Many things have been changing at Disney World in the recent months.

New Castle Sign!

We’ve seen a new design completed for Cinderella Castle, FastPass+ is no longer available, Extended Evening Hours are about to be available for select Disney hotel guests, and masks are back to being required indoors for everyone. One thing that changed last year was Disney no longer giving you free MagicBands if you were staying at a Disney hotel. Is It Time to Say Goodbye To Your Old Disney World MagicBands?

At the start of 2021, Disney World stopped sending free MagicBands to their on-site resort guests. Those guests would now need to either reuse an old MagicBand or purchase a new one, either online ahead of their vacation or at one of the gift shops in Disney World.

There are a TON of colors and styles to choose from!

Since then, Disney World launched MagicMobile, a new way of using your smart phone for park admission, FastPass+ redemption (when available), and (eventually) as a payment method. With your phone essentially acting as a MagicBand, and a revamped MagicBand+ on the way, is it time to toss all of those old wearable devices in the trash?

A Super Underrated Film Is Finally Getting Some Love in Disney World!
