Welcome back to EPCOT!
We recently noticed a couple changes on our trips around Future World and the World Showcase, so we have a super quick update for you! Let’s get started.
Disney World has been open for a few months, but that doesn’t change the fact that many policies are still evolving in the interest of guest health and safety.
The face mask policy in the resort has seen several changes since the parks reopened. Just last week, Disney introduced new signs and announcements in the parks noting that guests who refuse to wear a mask will be asked to leave. Now, Disney has updated the language online as well.Â
All eyes are on Disney as they prepare to reopen Disney World’s theme parks! While we have every confidence that Disney is thinking everything through a thousand times over, there are still a few things we hope Disney doesn’t mess up!
After visiting Disney Springs every day since its reopening in addition to Universal Orlando and CityWalk at Universal Studios Hollywood, we’ve learned a thing or two about what mistakes we DON’T want to see Disney make when the parks reopen!
Searching for the perfect face covering can be a frustrating and overwhelming endeavor. There are SO many styles of masks out there, with all different sorts of materials, straps, and patterns imaginable.Â
Disney is no longer requiring face masks for guests in Disney World in most locations. The only place guests might need to wear masks is in certain areas of first aid centers. Disney does note, however, that “It is recommended Guests who are not fully vaccinated continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters and on enclosed transportation.” If you’ll be bringing a mask to Disney World, let’s make sure you get comfortable masks that you’re happy with to take to the parks!
We just learned that Disney World is temporarily suspending FastPass+ reservations, canceling existing Dining Reservations and Disney Dining Plans, and halting Extra Magic Hours once the parks reopen on the proposed mid-July date.
And now, we noticed a quiet change to the language pertaining to who will be required to wear masks at the parks upon their reopening.
