It’s been two years since Disney World reopened, but there are still several things that haven’t returned to the park.

However, we’re seeing many of those things finally returning just over the last few months, from the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue to Victoria & Albert’s Restaurant to Minnie Vans. Now, ANOTHER popular thing has officially reopened in Disney World: the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!
We’re still seeing quite a few closures around Disney World property.

Even though hotels and restaurants are reopening right and left, some things remain unavailable. Still, others are closed temporarily for planned refurbishments! So…Disney’s mask rules have undergone a LOT of changes over the past few months.
Face Mask
Previously, masks were required anywhere on property — both indoors and outdoors — unless eating or drinking while stationary or taking a socially distanced outdoor photo. Later, masks no longer became required outdoors. Then, masks no longer became required in most places for fully vaccinated guests. Now, things have changed again and masks are required for all guests indoors (and in select other places), regardless of vaccination status. These changes (and the current mask policy) can affect how you wear your mask during your vacation! And we’re got some tips for ya right here.

Port Orleans Riverside
Many restaurants, resorts, and attractions have been reopening in the last several months. However, a few will remain closed for the time being. Some are closed for scheduled refurbishments while others have been unavailable since the theme parks closed back in March. We’ve been keeping tabs on closures throughout the year. So, to help you plan, we’ve listed every attraction and resort that will be closed for the month of February 2021!
The Rivers of America and the surrounding area has been under a lengthy refurbishment!
Liberty Square Riverboat at Magic Kingdom
The river was completely drained and construction work was happening on the guide rails for the Liberty Square Riverboat. We also saw work being done on Tom Sawyer Island and the dry riverbed. The river has recently been refilled and we were expecting the attractions to reopen on March 1st, 2021. It seems Disney is a little ahead of schedule and they may open a little early!
Getting additional, exclusive time in the parks is a huge benefit to staying at a Disney World Resort hotel.
Magic Kingdom
In 2021 Disney introduced Early Theme Park Entry giving guests at any Disney World Resort hotel (plus a few others) the chance to spend an extra 30 minutes in the parks before their official opening time.
