Let’s head off to Chicken Guy! next to see how it compares to our pre-closure visits.
Vice President Mike Pence visited Orlando today to discuss tourism and the city’s reopening.
He spoke with representatives from the major theme parks Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld Orlando and “offered encouragement” to leaders in tourism.
We’ve been making our way around Disney Springs for its re-opening today.
Disney-owned locations won’t be opening until May 27th, but third-party stores and restaurants opened today with new health and safety guidelines. So we’re heading to the dock for a bite to eat and a view of the lagoon!
Today, we’re LIVE at the reopening of Disney Springs in Disney World.
We’ve already shown you a look into parking, temperature checks, and we have also reviewed the new “Welcome Back” drink at Starbucks! But now its time for us to hit a few Disney Springs shops!
We’re back in Disney Springs today for the first time since the historic closure of Disney World began in March.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, things look a little different in Disney’s dining, retail, and entertainment district. Prior to the reopening, Disney detailed that guests could expect to see some logistical changes with limited parking, temperature screenings, required face coverings, physical distancing, and more. Let’s take a look at what it’s like to be back in Disney Springs with all of these new protocols!
Disney Springs is planning to start Disney World’s phased re-opening tomorrow, May 20th.
We’ve been keeping you updated with all of the restaurants that plan to re-open tomorrow, but Earl of Sandwich, Chicken Guy!, and Planet Hollywood just released more information on how they plan to protect guests at the re-opening.
Disney World is taking its first step towards resuming operations, with the phased reopening of Disney Springs starting on May 20th. The Disney Springs reopening plan includes several health and safety measures, one of which is required face coverings for both guests and Cast Members.
And since masks are mandatory, we wanted to know if our readers think Disney should provide them for guests.
Florida has been in a Phase One of reopening since May 4th, and now it seems they’re taking the next step.
In a press conference today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis explained the intention for the state to move to a “Full Phase One” on Monday. The new order loosens limitations on restaurants, gyms, and sports venues — but what does it mean for Orlando theme parks like Disney World?
Disneyland Shanghai recently reopened with a sharply limited capacity. Currently the park is limiting capacity to below 30%, and guests must have a reservation (either a dated park ticket, or an actual reservation).
That “limited capacity” bit has us (and our readers!) a little worried. Is there a chance that Disney will limit capacity so sharply that there is a risk of guests not getting into the park even WITH a hotel reservation and park ticket? How is Disney World going to implement these capacity limits?
Disney World is starting a phased reopening in Disney Springs on May 20th and we recently learned more about when Disney-owned shops and restaurants will join in.
We’ve been keeping you updated with all the stores and restaurants scheduled to open May 20th, and we just learned about one more restaurant making the list!
