Walt Disney World has officially re-opened and is getting back to business!

The current changes have affected the ways guests may experience rides, dining, and park entry. The new guidelines have also made a BIG impact on Disney transportation. Things have definitely changed a bit when it comes to getting around, so we’re bringing you ALL of our best TIPS for using Disney transportation in a reopened Disney World!
When the Disney World Resort hotels and theme parks began their phased reopening, we knew there would be some limitations as to what was available.

And that included changes to Disney transportation. It was announced that the water taxi services would be limited, and would only be offered from select resorts to Magic Kingdom. Today, however, we noticed some activity that indicates the water taxis are slowly ramping up!
When we’re at Walt Disney World, we’re always focused on the best ways to get around.

Of course, Disney transportation will get you where you need to go on property for free, but those waits can be LONG. Even in the best of times, we all wish we could just stroll right into the park from our hotel, and we REALLY wish for that super short commute after a long day — when we just want to COLLAPSE in our room. If you’re staying in a Disney World Resort hotel, you will still have access to Disney transportation to take you to the parks. But how early can you rope droppers head out? Here’s what we know!

But when Walt Disney World officially reopens Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11th and Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 15th, not EVERY type of vehicle will be available.
With Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom set to reopen to guests on July 11th, followed by Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 15th, we’re learning more about which transportation options will be available.

Guests staying in Magic Kingdom area hotels typically have access to water taxi transportation to take them between their resort and the park. But upon the initial reopening, only select hotels will have access to the water taxi service.
We have a major question about the reopening of Disney World — and some ideas about how it might play out!

While the Disney World parks remain closed, the resort has taken its first step towards resuming operations with the phased reopening of Disney Springs on May 20th.
We can look at the reopening of Disney Springs, as well as Shanghai Disneyland, for an idea of what to expect when the Disney World parks welcome back guests. But we have one HUGE question for which Disney hasn’t yet set a precedent.
