Now, what do people look forward to the most when they come to Disney? (Well, besides the food.) The rides, of course! What’s Disney World without Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, and Pirates of the Caribbean? It’s a huge, empty land filled only with Mickey Pretzels and churros. THIS Was the EPCOT Virtual Queue We Weren’t Expecting Today!

We’re with some friends at the Cast Member Preview for the reopening of EPCOT AND EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival. We’re reporting on the new procedures for old-favorites like Spaceship Earth and experiencing new processes like the Digital Guidebook.

Disney has now integrated virtual lines for gift shops to reduce crowding and will continue to use a modified version for Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We just learned that four Food and Wine booths at EPCOT will be accessed using virtual queues at Food and Wine Festival. [Read more…]

7 Disney World Rides That NEED A Virtual Queue This Summer!

At this time, Disney World hasn’t revealed what their virtual queue system will look like when the theme parks reopen in July. But it seems like it is all but certain Disney will implement SOME sort of virtual queue experience, but it’s scope and intricacies are unknown at this time!

We’ve seen Virtual Queues already in place at some experiences like World of Disney for when crowds get large. At Universal Orlando, not every attraction had virtual queues, so we may not see EVERY ride and attraction at Disney World add one. That said, we have a few ideas for which rides we think TOTALLY need a Virtual Queue in Disney World.

The Virtual Queue You Probably WEREN’T Expecting in Disney World

It was BUSY in Disney Springs today. It was so busy, in fact, that we experienced something we have yet to see: a virtual queue to access a retail store!

Virtual Queues Being Considered Once Disney World and Disneyland Reopen

Today, Disney’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Pam Hymel outlined a series of potential options they are exploring ahead of the parks reopening. At this time, only Shanghai Disneyland has announced a reopening date.

Disney is unsure at this time when their other parks will reopen. However, when the remaining parks do reopen, there may be many new measures in place to ensure guest and Cast Member safety. One of these measures is one we have previously talked about as a possibility once the parks resume business operations: Virtual Queues.
