Can you believe it’s already September? The first week of September will continue bringing us closures around Disney World, but now we know when a popular spot will reopen!

Disney recently announced that Blizzard Beach will once again be reopening this winter! It does seem appropriate that a water park named “Blizzard Beach” will be open in the coolest months of the year but don’t worry, you can still have a fun time in the warm water. ALERT: Another POPULAR Disney World Ride Is Temporarily CLOSING This Week

We’re used to rides closing from time to time in Disney World.

Magic Kingdom

The rides may close for extended re-theming and construction or for temporary refurbishments. Peter Pan’s Flight recently reopened EARLY in Magic Kingdom with an all-new scene, and now this week, another opening day ride in Magic Kingdom will be closing for its own refurbishment. Along with this ride, a shooting arcade, a water park, food courts, and more will continue to be closed this week!

Disney World will continue to see closures this coming week.

We’ve been keeping tabs on several closures around Disney World for a while now. While nothing new will close this week, several attractions, restaurants, and an entire water park will be closed the week of August 10th through August 17th. If you’re headed to the parks, be aware that a few rides, shows, and restaurants will not be open and operating.

Unfortunately, not all refurbishments go as planned. Occasionally, Disney has to make adjustments to their timelines and that’s what we’ve seen for one food court at a popular Value resort. We keep track of attraction closures happening all around Disney World, but when we hear about a restaurant getting a refurbishment, our ears quickly perk up. That’s why this food court news was important to us! Some of our favorite snacks can be found at two Disney World hotel food courts that are getting some work done. Luckily, one will be back to full capacity this week while another will begin some changes.

Disney closes rides and attractions for refurbishment all the time. There are periods when we’ll see several rides closed at a time and other times when only one or two rides are closed. We love to see when the number of rides closed in a week is low, which is what is great about this week! While a few restaurants and other attractions will be closed for refurbishment this week, only two rides are closed, for now!

Each of Disney’s hotels offers at least one or more restaurants for you to stop by to enjoy during your stay. But every now and then, these restaurants will close for refurbishment. It’s important to stay up to date on which places will be available and which won’t be while you’re on vacation. Speaking of which, one Disney World food court has partially closed!

A Popular Disney World Ride Reopens This Week While 4 Attractions Are Still CLOSED

Rides close down for refurbishment all the time in Disney World.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has been closed for months!

It’s a common thing for Disney to close a ride so they can make sure everything is running correctly, give it the touchups it needs, and then, eventually, get it back running again for everyone to enjoy. Lengths of refurbishments vary based on many things, but they can be short for only a couple of weeks or much longer spanning over many months. Luckily, one ride that has been closed since January and we thought it was opening in late July, but it turns out it’s opening THIS WEEK! Let’s see what’s opening (and remaining closed) the week of June 29th through July 5th.
