Genie+ is the skip-the-line service that guests can buy in Disneyland and Disney World. Once you buy it for the day, you can make Lightning Lane reservations throughout the day to skip the normal standby lines and save time! Only certain attractions are included with Genie+, and the list for Disneyland Park is changing tomorrow, January 22nd.

Recently, Genie+ switched its pricing from a standard $20 per day to surge pricing, meaning that the price would fluctuate based on how much demand there was for the service. Today, we’ve seen the highest price yet for Genie+ in Disneyland.
Skipping the regular, standby lines in Disney parks certainly isn’t anything new.

And, since the introduction of the latest system — Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes — there have been quite a few changes and updates in both Disney World and Disneyland. We recently learned that surge pricing would be implemented for Genie+ in Disneyland, and now it looks like yet another new change has come to the service!
Disney World and Disneyland prices can vary depending on the time of year and demand for the theme parks. We’ve seen surge pricing on tickets, hotel rooms, holiday parties, and more. Now, it looks like surge pricing is coming to another part of Disneyland.

You could previously purchase Genie+ for $20 per person, per day, but it just got a pretty big price increase. On top of new rules and ride policies, it is no longer free to guests — it’ll cost you $15 in Disney World and $20 in Disneyland. Since Genie+ is a newer system, it is constantly changing to become the best it can be, and we’ve been keeping you updated on the latest changes (including a new banner that makes its most confusing rule EASIER). But now, a Disney executive has shared how the company uses Genie to control crowds in the parks.

Soon, we’ll be able to hug Mickey Mouse in Disneyland again! Beginning April 18th, Disney will begin bringing back traditional character meet-and-greets in Disneyland Park. It’s been almost 2 years since we’ve hugged our pal Mickey, and we could not be more excited. These close-up meet and greets are also returning to Disney World at the same time, but we just found out that there will be one BIG difference between the two parks when the traditional meet-and-greets return. Well, it’s official: Disney Genie has arrived in Disneyland Resort! Although the launch of Genie at Disneyland wasn’t without its hiccups, the service is now available for guests to use.
