And, since the introduction of the latest system — Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes — there have been quite a few changes and updates in both Disney World and Disneyland. We recently learned that surge pricing would be implemented for Genie+ in Disneyland, and now it looks like yet another new change has come to the service!
There’s no denying it — Disney is EXPENSIVE!

Between booking your hotel stay, choosing where to eat on your trip, and oh yeah — park tickets — there are so many little things that can really add up. And it certainly doesn’t help when Disney decides to raise prices, either. Unfortunately, it looks like today is one of those days because going to Disneyland Resort is now going to cost you MORE!
Disney Genie+ debuted last year at Disneyland Resort, replacing the former MaxPass system.

Genie+ is a paid feature that lets you make reservations for Lightning Lanes in the parks. These work similarly to how the old MaxPass lanes did, letting you skip the normal line at rides around the parks. We’ve seen many changes to the system since it debuted, but now, Genie+ just got a price increase in Disneyland.

Yep, Disney as a company will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2023 and you KNOW there will be some big festivities for the occasion! We know about a ton of things coming to Disneyland, like two new nighttime shows, the return of a popular parade, the opening of a new ride, and more. But, we also have a sneak peek at a special piece of merchandise for the anniversary — let’s take a look!
During the 2022 D23 Expo, we learned just some details about what Disney was planning for the Disney 100 Years of Wonder Celebration for the Walt Disney Company.

But, other than a logo and a few brief details about the fact that there WAS going to be a celebration, Disney was quiet — until now, that is! Disney has officially announced that Disneyland will be the heart of this celebration — and now we know exactly when that will begin!
Slowly but surely, we’ve seen the Disney parks return to normal since reopening.

Most dining locations have opened back up, and more character meals are starting to come back as well. At Disney World, special tours started returning a while ago, with even more returning this month. Over in Disneyland, though, Guided Tours have still yet to return — until now, that is!

Paradise Pier Hotel is being re-themed to Pixar and will be called Pixar Place Hotel. Disney has said that the hotel will “weave the artistry of Pixar into its comfortable, contemporary setting” and make it feel like you’ve stepped into a Pixar art gallery. And now, we have an update on these renovations happening at the hotel!
Nighttime shows are a lot of guests’ favorite parts of a Disney park day.
Disneyland Forever at Disneyland
At Disney World, you can catch Harmonious in EPCOT and Disney Enchantment in Magic Kingdom. In Disneyland, you can currently catch Disneyland Forever and see many other shows throughout the year, including the new fireworks show that’s debuting in January 2023 for The Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary!
