Fall has come to Disneyland!
The season has arrived at the “Happiest Place on Earth” and along with it are a slew of seasonal events, shows, sweets, and treats that range from wholesome to spooky and everywhere in between!
When it comes to food, we see changes ALL the time all over Disney World and Disneyland.
We’ve seen entire menus change (and sometimes NOT for the better…yes, Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom, we’re looking at you). We’ve seen some of our favorite foods disappear (although, in one case, one of our fave snacks DID actually return). We also see a ton of price increases, especially around this time of year. Speaking of which, we’re sorry to report that we just noticed a TON of price increases at Starbucks locations in Disneyland.
Something new is coming to Batuu, and these may be the treats you’re looking for!
We’re fresh off the news that the Hungry Bear Barbeque Jamboree is getting rethemed and gearing up to welcome several new treats and eats for the Halloween season. It’s safe to say that the menus at Disneyland Resort habe been seeing some big changes recently. If that wasn’t enough to tide you over, though, there’s one more place you’ll want to add to your list if you’re visiting Disneyland soon!
From time to time, we see Disney rides get updates!
Many times, rides will close for refurbishment and just get general touch-ups and technology updates, but sometimes Disney takes that chance to change some scenes. (We saw this happen with rides like Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean in the past!) Recently, Disney World made some interesting modifications to its version of Peter Pan’s Flight, and now it looks like that change will come to the West Coast as well.
Okay, let’s talk about Disney concept art, particularly concept art for new lands and new rides.
So we recently attended D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where Disney made a TON of announcements about new rides and lands coming to Disney Parks (so much that it almost broke our brains, y’all). That means that we also got TONS of new concept art for these new lands and rides, but once we started studying that concept art, we noticed something strange — and it has everything to do with birds.
The Hungry Bear is almost back!
Earlier this year, Disney announced that Disneyland’s Hungry Bear restaurant would be renamed the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, complete with a brand new Country Bears theme. On our most recent trip to the park, we found a major sign that the restaurant is almost here!
When it comes to being Disney fans, there are some things that really just make our hearts sing.
It might be the latest movie or even an old classic, or a brand-new ride that gets your adrenaline going. We’re lucky that we get to experience the magic of Disney every day, and we love being able to bring you along with us! We recently got the opportunity to go to an event that was all about Disney Princesses — so let’s check it out.
Hey, friends! Are you looking to take your little on to Disney? Do you feel like you have 1000 questions and 2000 worries about what to do and what could go wrong?
Don’t worry — I’ve been in your shoes, and I’m here to HELP! Not only have I been working here at DFB for over 5 years but I also used to be a Cast Member. So, I happen to know Disney like the back of my hand. BUT I don’t live right next door to Disney. I actually live all the way in Texas. So, I only get to go to the parks every now and then. Because of that, I have to pack and prepare for a Disney trip like most of you likely have to do as well. SO, when I took my then 10 month old to Disneyland for the first time, I had so many questions and stresses. And honestly, I learned quite a few lessons the hard way. I’m here to share some of those struggles so you can avoid then when you take your little(s) to Disney!
Merchandise trends come and go all the time in the Disney parks!
We saw the popularity spike of things like Wishables, Starbucks tumblers, and Spirit Jerseys. But now, we’re looking out for new trends! And one of the current trends is hot, hot, hot in Disneyland Resort…the severed head headbands!
When it comes to food, things are changing ALL the time in Disneyland.
A TON of new Halloween treats will be arriving in the parks, at Downtown Disney, and hotel restaurants soon. Several new restaurants have opened recently in Downtown Disney. We just got an opening timeline for yet ANOTHER new restaurant coming to Downtown Disney. We also learned about a fun Halloween character dining experience coming soon at Goofy’s Kitchen, but we’ve got a word of warning: the price of that dining experience has gone up.
