Oh, and on top of all those changes, you might also want to consider the crowd level during your vacation. Back in 2022, we saw some BIG crowds in the Disney World parks. The theme parks were reportedly in higher demand than ever before and attractions and restaurants were finally starting to operate like they did before the pandemic. Fast-forward to 2023, and things are looking a little different. Could the crowds finally be subsiding in Disney World? Let’s talk about it.
Animal Kingdom is in the middle of an incredible 25th anniversary and winding down Earth Day celebrations as well, but that isn’t slowing down the changes happening at this park!

Now that we’ve had a chance to digest the news about a new sipper cup, a highly anticipated character meet and greet, and new menu offerings celebrating the Asian American Pacific Islander heritage month all through the month of May, there’s still lots to explore around Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Counter-service pizza in Disney World is notoriously subpar (looking at you, puffy pizza!), and believe us, we’ve tried a LOT of pizza in Disney World.
Terra Treats in Animal Kingdom
However, sometimes we do find some quick-service pizza that surprises us. For example, the Pizza Window in EPCOT typically serves some quality pies, and the pizza at Connections Cafe was surprisingly tasty! Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we usually don’t rave about the food at Pizzafari. But now, we found some GOOD pizza somewhere else in the park, and we’re going to tell you ALL about it!
