FINALLY! Two long-term closures that have plagued Disney World for a WHILE are going to come to an end within the next couple of months.
We can’t wait for these things to finally be open and available again in the parks!
Disney tried something NEW this past winter. Something ambitious and — in theory — perfect for its loyal audience of holiday party guests. So what went wrong?
As you may know, events like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are wildly popular. These parties sell out pretty much every year, and fans return over and over again. But Disney’s NEW Jollywood Nights holiday party didn’t seem to have the success many expected. Several party dates came and went without selling out, and the overall reception was lukewarm. Will Disney bring Jollywood Nights BACK in 2024? We may have a clue!
It feels like there’s always something new happening in the Disney parks.
Disney World alone has Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the updated Country Bear Jamboree show in progress in Magic Kingdom, as well as refurbishments coming up soon for Test Track in EPCOT. But now Disney has also started casting for the brand new show that’s coming this fall!
It’s been nearly five months since the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser took its final voyage.
The Star Wars themed hotel permanently shut its doors on September 30th, 2023. Since then, many Disney fans have wondered what will take over the space — if anything at all. Fans paid tribute to the closed hotel by tying ribbons to the gate that used to lead to the hotel, but Cast Members soon closed the area off. Now, the passageway to the former hotel is being used for something else entirely!
Sometimes Disney has to close down certain rides, restaurants, and attractions in order to update and refurbish them. Usually, those closures only last a few weeks or maybe a few months at most. But there are a couple of things that have been MISSING from Magic Kingdom for a LONG time now, and we’re starting to wonder if they’ll ever return at all!
Let’s check out these mysteriously missing things and take a look at ALL the temporary closures and refurbishments that will affect Disney World from February 4th through the 10th.
There are TONS of souvenirs to choose from on your Disney World trip. You name it — Disney’s (probably) got it.
Some souvenirs are a little cheaper than others, like Disney pins, while others are way more expensive, like building a Lightsaber or Droid in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But recently, we spotted a souvenir that seemed pretty obscure, and you definitely need to know about it — especially if you own one of those cute little Star Wars droids.
Watch out! There are several ride, restaurant, and hotel pool CLOSURES happening next week in Disney World, and they might impact your upcoming vacation!
Let’s check out all the temporary closures and refurbishments that will affect Disney World from January 28th through February 3rd.
There have been a LOT of closures in Disney World recently, including Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Kali River Rapids in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom, and the Skyliner transportation system. Luckily, two of those closures are finally ENDING this week!
However, as those closures end, two MORE closures will begin. Let’s check out all the temporary closures and refurbishments that will affect Disney World from January 21st through the 27th.
Disney’s After Hours events are practically a hidden gem in plain sight. It’s going to be really hard to convince us otherwise. These events boast drastically reduced crowds, rare character appearances, most if not all rides and attractions open for enjoyment, and there are even complimentary snacks!
However, food is the one place with these events where we can get a little squirrely. There are pros and cons to any event that Disney holds and this one point is certainly no exception. We’ve already attended After Hours events this year in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom and places to eat (and what was served) seem to be our dividing point. [Read more…]
We just saw two Disney World rides shut down for lengthy refurbishments, with both Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Kali River Rapids in Disney’s Animal Kingdom closing on January 8th. But now, two MORE Disney World closures are starting this week!
Let’s check out all the temporary closures and refurbishments that will affect Disney World from January 14th through the 20th.
