Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
And, we’ve got plenty of food, merchandise, and construction updates to share with you, so let’s dive right on in!
Whether you’re snagging a Dole Whip or treating yourself to as many Mickey treats as your heart desires, Mobile Order is the real MVP when it comes to getting yourself a quick snack in the parks.
Recently, Disney has decided to extend Mobile Order to select table-service restaurants in the parks and resorts. Until today, Sanaa was the only place you can get food to-go from a table-service location. But, it looks like you’ll be able to enjoy more of your favorite table-service eats and treats without having to stop and dine at the restaurants!
We’ve been keeping an eye on all of the construction going on at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Various changes are set take to place around the hotel as it undergoes refurbishment and its guest rooms get a Moana-inspired makeover. As a result of the construction, the monorail station at the Polynesian will be closing temporarily later this year.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in Walt Disney World will receive some major refurbishments this year!
Disney postponed reopening much of the resort in order to finish construction projects on guest rooms, the main lobby, and the entryway. The guest rooms will receive a new Moana-inspired theme and the concept art for the massive entryway overhaul was released recently. We’ve been stopping by the resort frequently to see the construction progress and how it is affecting visiting guests.
Disney really decided to throw us a mug-stravaganza yesterday!
We were doin’ our thang, reporting around Disney World when we came across a bunch of new mugs scattered around the resort. We’re big fans of these designs. Can YOU find a new favorite?
The cuts to entertainment at Walt Disney World’s resorts just keep on coming.
First, the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra announced its final performance, then Yeeha Bob revealed he had been laid off.
In case you missed it, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is set to going under a MAJOR refurbishment this year and next year!
The Monorail loop resort near the Magic Kingdom had its reopening for non-DVC guests delayed until mid-2021 so that guest rooms could get a Moana-themed makeover!
The next few months are going to be an exciting time on the Disney World monorail loop!
Recently, Disney announced that Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will not be reopening until the summer of 2021. This is because the resort will undergo a substantial refurbishment.
This refurb will include new Moana-inspired elements in locations like the Great Ceremonial House and the Guest rooms. Now, Disney Imagineers have shared even MORE details about this refurbishment — including concept art!
Just a few weeks ago, we shared with you that Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will not be reopening until the summer of 2021 to finish some refurbishment work, including a Moana-inspired look for the Resort’s guest rooms.
The refurbishment work is set to begin in October, and now we’ve got a few updates on how that construction could impact your stay at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows or simply a trip to dine at the resort.
Halloween season is a monster’s time to shine!
As Disney fans, the first monsters we think of aren’t vampires or werewolves — it’s our buddies from Monsters, Inc.! And, in honor of the upcoming holiday, Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is serving up a seasonal dessert that’s scary cute!
