Everything That’s Been CUT From the EPCOT Transformation

Doesn’t it feel like we’ve been talking about EPCOT’s Transformation for YEARS? Well, that’s because we have been talking about all of the exciting projects in development at EPCOT for some time now — remember wayyy back at the 2019 D23 Expo when we first got a glimpse at all of those retro-inspired posters and Spaceship Earth model that once sat in the EPCOT Experience (the EPCOT Experience has since closed).

Disney World has a LOT of updates, refurbishments, and new projects in the works, and sometimes, it’s hard to keep track of them all!

Sure, we’re all excited about all big upcoming attractions, like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and TRON Lightcycle Run. And we can’t WAIT to see the interactive hotel/experience Star Wars Galactic Cruiser! But those are just a FEW of the projects underway at Disney World right now. So with those being so HUGE, it makes sense that some of the smaller projects get lost in the shuffle, although they’re still in progress.

So, What’s Going On With the EPCOT Transformation?! Here’s What We Know!

We’re SO excited for all the new things coming to EPCOT!

Last week we learned LOTS of exciting details about many of these projects during the “EPCOT — The Magic of Possibility” presentation as part of D23’s Fantastic Worlds events. Disney shared news about Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Harmonious, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and more! Not too long after that, Disney shared a press release on their website about the EPCOT transformation as well. And while this was all super exciting, we couldn’t help but notice a few things were missing. But we were also excited to see that a few things we haven’t heard about in a while were still mentioned. Here’s the Latest Look at Epcot’s MAJOR Construction From Above!

The radical transformation of Epcot is well underway and pretty soon we’ll be wishing Future World a fond farewell and welcoming the new World Celebration, World Discovery, and World Nature districts with open arms.

Electric Umbrella has already closed to make way for the future, but today we’re taking to the skies on the monorail to see the rest of the construction progress happening around Epcot.
