Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been celebrating all month long with sweet treats, special experiences, and visits from rare characters. We even found a new beer! But if you just can’t get enough of Earth Week, there’s a new photo spot where you can mark the occasion.
Ever buy a Disney toy on shopDisney or in a store and DREAD having to open it up because it’s got all kinds of complicated plastic and twist ties? Ever just give up on trying to open these toys in a normal way and just cut the plastic straight down the middle in desperation?! We’ve ALL been there.
Time to Open This Thing!
But, now things are changing , at least for some Disney toys!! Just in time for Earth Day, Disney has announced how the packaging on some of their toys will be totally changing to be more environmentally friendly, easier to open, and even reusable!
Earth Week is here! Now that the biggest week of Earth Month is upon us, with Earth Day on April 22nd, there’s never been a better time to take advantage of the Earth-centric activities, snacks, drinks, and limited-edition merch at Disney World!

Animal Kingdom is the resident Earth Day Disney pro, with a whole month’s worth of special merch, drinks, and events well underway. Now, new Earth Day signage and a limited-edition pin have joined the park’s festivities!

A new Earth Day collectible key is set to release soon, we’ve checked out some Earth Day shirts online, and we’re gearing up for some great Earth Month activities in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We’ve seen a few examples of Disney’s mission to become more eco-friendly poppin’ up in the parks, from cool new trash cans to compostable plastic cheese (!!) containers. And now, Disney has a few more reusable pieces of merchandise that you can use around the parks and at home! The line is called the Play, Drink, Repeat and the collection is jam-packed with reusable goodies. So, of course, we had to try some of them out.
Did you know that Disney’s Animal Kingdom is currently celebrating Earth Month? From specialty snacks and sips and even activities, the extra fun is lasting throughout all of April!

Of course, with Disney’s sustainability goals, the efforts to go green extend far beyond Earth Month and Animal Kingdom. We’ve recently spotted Compostable Cups for our beloved Plastic Cheese (!!!), for instance, as just one example. And today in both Animal Kingdom AND Magic Kingdom, we’ve happened upon new merchandise lines featuring all sorts of reusable goodies that you can use in the parks AND take home from your trip to continue in your own efforts to go green… Disney-style! It’s Earth Month, and Disney is celebrating in more ways than one! We’ve seen lots of unique treats around the Disney parks and resorts for the occasion — and Disney’s Animal Kingdom is going all out with some fun activities. We’re not gonna lie, Animal Kingdom has been bringing it with their cupcake game lately, from the St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake to the Carrot Cake Cupcake for Easter. So when we heard that a new cupcake was arriving to Restaurantosaurus for Earth Month, we CLEARED our schedule to make sure that we shared our thoughts with you!
