If you’re a big Disney Park fan, you probably know a decent amount about the popular restaurants in the parks, like Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom, 50s Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios, or Le Cellier in EPCOT.

Review: Disney Cruise Enchanted Garden Breakfast Buffet
With only a week until the Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship sets sail for its Maiden Voyage, I wanted to prep those of you who are sailing with some reviews!
One of the Disney Cruise Line Rotational Dining restaurants on board the Fantasy is Enchanted Garden, a lovely restaurant that “brings the outdoors in” with fun special effects!
I think that a favorite morning escape for many guests on the Fantasy will be this serene restaurant. Enchanted Garden is found on Deck 2, midship, and serves dinner daily. Check your personal navigator for the days on which a bountiful buffet is set out for breakfast and lunch!
Atmosphere
Enchanted Garden evokes visions of the gardens at Versailles. Garden landscapes, white lattice, blooming flowers, and a centerpiece fountain beckon guests to dine in this outdoor-like setting capped off with a brilliant, ever-changing sky.
These whimsical booths make me think of the Mad Tea Cups in the Magic Kingdom. 😉 Thankfully, diners don’t have to [Read more…]

Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship Restaurants and Dining Options
We had a great time sailing on the Disney Dream and doing a thorough Dine Around in January 2011. During that sailing, DFB researched (um, okay, ate) our way through the bountiful offerings on this all-you-can-eat cruise.
Disney’s next cruise ship, the Fantasy, is set to sail its maiden voyage in March of 2012. The 2,500 passenger ship will be identical in size and layout to the Disney Dream, although the two will not be exactly the same. Let’s review the venues for food and beverages on the Fantasy!
Disney Dream Guest Review: Non-Alcoholic Specialty Drinks
Welcome guest author James Dolan with a thirst-quenching review of mocktails aboard the Disney Dream!
There is a big market for “adult beverages.” That is a euphemism for drinks containing alcohol. Those of us who are adults who don’t consume alcohol are left with the routine fountain sodas, plain fruit juices and occasionally a decent bottled root beer. If you’re lucky, you might actually get a Shirley Temple made correctly (with ginger ale), and if you’re really lucky it might have a cherry for garnish. Of course, there is always the standard, uninspired non-alcoholic pina colada or strawberry margarita.
Meanwhile, our alcohol-consuming friends are choosing from lengthy lists of “adult beverages” and receiving brightly colored drinks in fancy glasses with artfully placed garnishes. These drinks usually cannot be ordered in a non-alcoholic version because they consist of (big surprise) mostly alcohol.
Fortunately, if you are cruising on the Disney Dream, these woes are a thing of the past! Non-alcoholic specialty drinks [Read more…]
Guest Review: Special Diets Dining Aboard the Disney Dream
Join us in welcoming Cheryl Perlmutter with a review of dining aboard the Disney Dream with special diets.
Recently, I went on the Disney Dream as part of the WDW Radio Cruise group. As you may know from prior posts by my husband, Todd, when I dine out, I request vegan meals and I am also gluten intolerant. Before the cruise, I contacted my travel agency and Disney Special Services. I noted my allergies, dietary needs and made special requests.
Day 1
When I boarded the ship, I did forget to check in at D-Lounge to meet the restaurant manager, as my travel agent recommended. Instead, I headed to Enchanted Garden for my first meal. The server introduced me to the chef. I noted my dietary needs and inquired about dessert which I had specifically requested in my letter to special services. The chef said [Read more…]
