Once more, we are asking ourselves, “What is going on with you, EPCOT?”

It wasn’t that long ago that EPCOT got rid of those controversial barges and large screen/Stargate thing in the World Showcase Lagoon that was used during the nighttime show Harmonious. Finally, World Showcase was free from what many of us felt were major eyesores. However, that didn’t last long because there are some NEW additions to World Showcase Lagoon, and well, we have some questions.
Imagine you’ve just arrived at Magic Kingdom. You’ve been planning this trip for ages, and now you’re HERE! You walk down Main Street, U.S.A., drinking in all the sights and sounds. Incredible smells are wafting out of the Confectionery. But there’s no time to stop — you head straight for your favorite ride. But what’s this? What’s happened? The ride is CLOSED?!

Encountering unexpected ride closures can be one of the most disappointing parts of a Disney World vacation. Sometimes those closures pop up suddenly due to bad weather in the area or technical difficulties, but others are planned ahead of time, so you can prepare for them! We love to see Disney World Cast Members go above and beyond to take care of visitors, but they also make us smile with things like water art, making Mickeys out of flowers, and showering us with little magical moments throughout each day. They’re also our heroes, and we recently experienced another perfect example of just how amazing Cast Members can be — get ready for story time!
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Disney World food is inconsistent.

Disney fries are served piping hot and fresh one moment, and cold and hard the next. We’ve had fresh, delicious churros, and we’ve almost broken a tooth on one that was cold and stale (ok, not really, but it wasn’t great). Trying to decide where to eat through all of this confusion can be a challenge, but thankfully, there are a few restaurants that just hit different. Throughout the Food & Wine Festival, you can attend the Eat to the Beat concerts, which take place most nights at the America Gardens Theatre. The concerts are free to attend, but if you want to reserve your spot and throw a nice meal into the mix, you can purchase a dining package. Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana will be a walk-through experience that encourages guests to play with “magical, living water.” We’ve shared all kinds of construction updates about it, why we’re worried about it, and even a peek at some testing that has been done. But now something new has arrived at the attraction — you’ll just have to listen verrrrrry closely to notice it.
If you thought there was enough construction already going on in EPCOT, think again! We’ve spotted even MORE work underway.

EPCOT is undergoing a massive transformation that’ll bring a whole bunch of new things to the park, including Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana, CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza, some impressive-looking gardens, and even a special Walt Disney statue. But one quieter corner of the park seems to be getting some work done to it too!

Food and Wine booths have already started popping up in EPCOT (yes, BEFORE the end of the Flower and Garden Festival!) and now another sign of Food & Wine is here very early!
