We’ve been waiting and dreaming of the new barbecue at Regal Eagle Smokehouse in Epcot (à la Sam Eagle, of course!).

And, we’re thrilled that the wait may finally be over!
It seems Future World isn’t the only thing that’s a little tricky to navigate at Epcot right now!

But while we’ve been figuring out how to wrap our heads around the maze of construction walls that is Future World right now, we’ve just found out Epcot’s cutting back the hours on some of its shows and experiences!
It’s true: Epcot’s Future World lost a dining location when Electric Umbrella closed its doors over the weekend. This expected closure came as just one part of the massive transformation currently taking place at Epcot.

And even as we say goodbye to some old haunts, we are MORE than excited about what’s to come, both in the years ahead and in the near future with one of the presumed highlights being the Space 220 Restaurant, currently under construction right by the Mission: SPACE attraction! [Read more…]
The Epcot Transformation is one of the BIGGEST park makeovers we’ve ever seen — and it’s just getting started!

While we’ve been keeping you in the loop with all the new restaurants and attractions as their construction sites progress, now it seems Epcot’s evolution is REALLY kicking into high gear! And even if you normally consider yourself to be a pro at navigating Epcot, it can be really tricky given how unfamiliar it’s lookin’ and feelin’ these days!
Epcot’s multi-year transformation is upon us and, unfortunately, that means an old favorite has closed for good!

We’ve known for a while that we could expect the closure of Electric Umbrella before the end of the year (sad face). Today, though, we’ve had to say goodbye forever!
Let’s take a “Grand Circle Tour” around the Monorail resorts: Grand Floridian, The Polynesian, and The Contemporary!

And since Epcot is just a quick Monorail ride away, we hopped over there too to check out some new merchandise as well as the Epcot Experience Eats!

And, while we’ve been strolling and sipping on the Pomegranate Margarita, we spotted the sweetest signs out for the holiday!
It’s finally here!! Valentine’s Day has swooped in (and struck us with Cupid’s arrow)!

And, while there are SO MANY things to do in Disney World for the holiday, we’re ready to get our sip on at one of our fav places to grab a drink in Epcot!

With the Epcot transformation bringing some MAJOR construction to the park, it looks like it’s finally time to say goodbye to the Electric Umbrella.

While it appeared for some time that the originally slated construction on the restaurant was delayed, the Future World area (where Electric Umbrella is located) is currently undergoing a redesign for the AMAZING new Epcot!
