On March 12th, Disney announced the closure of the four Walt Disney World theme parks (in addition to closure at Disney destinations around the globe including Disneyland Resort and Disney Cruise Line) to promote safety of the Resort’s guests and cast members.
Originally, the closure was set to begin “at the close of business on Sunday, March 15th, through the end of the month,” March 31st, while Disney Resort hotels would remain open to guests through Friday, March 20th. EDITOR’S UPDATE on March 27th: Today, Disney has announced that Walt Disney World will be closed “until further notice.” Therefore, this post is updated to reflect cancellation and refund procedures in light of this extension of the closure.
