We’re in the middle of the International Festival of the Holidays, so there are special food booths, new merchandise, holiday storytellers, and unique decorations! On top of that, the ever-popular Candlelight Processional is back with nightly shows. But that’s not all that’s going on in EPCOT — let’s take a look at everything that’s new!

From Santa Mickey cookie ears, to super festive ornaments and holiday Loungefly bags, there’s a little something for everyone when it comes to finding the perfect holiday gear at Disney World. But we’re going to tell you to stop EVERYTHING you’re doing right now because we just found the most EPIC holiday piece of merchandise we’ve ever seen at Disney World.

There’s already SO much going on with gingerbread displays appearing in resorts, the kick-off of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and more! Still, some of the biggest holiday features we look forward to are the attraction overlays we see around Disney World. We’ve seen themed decorations appear on Living with the Land lately, but another more subtle overlay has arrived in EPCOT too!

With so much going on for the 50th anniversary of Disney World, you may have forgotten that it’s also EPCOT’s 39th anniversary!
The park opened on October 1st, 1982 and has had a very storied history. EPCOT has evolved greatly over time, with many of the original attractions now gone, and the park currently undergoing a huge transformation. And, if you’re a big fan of EPCOT, you’re going to want to see these posters that were just released on shopDisney!
Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration is now in full swing, and this event will last a whopping 18 months.
Disney has changed a lot for the 50th anniversary, including new fireworks shows, new nighttime Disney Park icon lighting, and LOTS of new merchandise. They’re also making a big change to a smaller Disney World item, and it may be your new favorite Disney souvenir.
Disney previously announced that guests would be able to find 50 golden statues of Disney characters around the parks for the 50th Anniversary celebrations.
We’ve seen several pop up in Disney’s Magic Kingdom recently, including some statues of classic characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Tinker Bell, and Stitch. Today, we spotted some of the first golden character statues outside of the Magic Kingdom — in EPCOT!
