The cruise industry has been at a standstill due to the ongoing pandemic.

Will Disney set sail again this year?

Cruises leaving the U.S. are currently grounded — the Disney Cruise Line, for example, has canceled all departures through June. And while the CDC recently released another phase of its Framework for Conditional Sailing Order, which provides updated guidance for cruise ships’ return, the Florida governor has threatened to file a lawsuit against the public health agency. Now, that lawsuit has become a reality.

NEWS: Florida Mayor Comments on When Mask Mandate May End

Recently, we’ve seen changes made to Disney’s face mask policy regarding dining and we’ve seen stickers added to photo spots in Disney World reminding guests to keep their masks on.

NEWS: Florida Governor Threatens Lawsuit Over CDC Cruise Restrictions

The global health crisis has been particularly hard on the travel industry, and perhaps even more so on cruise lines.

At the moment, Disney Cruise Line has currently canceled sailings through August, although the company hopes to resume some operations this fall. Disney also recently announced a new staycation cruise experience in the U.K. However, for the time being, cruises leaving the U.S. are currently grounded and the CDC continues to extend no-sail orders.

Florida to Make ALL Adults Eligible for the COVID-19 Vaccine NEXT Month

The rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine is continuing throughout Florida.

Shortly after President Biden directed that states should make all adults in the U.S. eligible for the vaccine by May, Orange County lowered its vaccination age to make anyone age 40 and up qualified. Now, as part of the state’s goal to offer the vaccine to all adults before May 1st, the rest of Florida is following suit.
