We’re about to blow your mind, because we found a way to take one of Disney’s classic snacks and make it even BETTER.
You may remember we have a thing for showing you how to improve your favorite Disney dishes. We’ve hacked Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew’s bacon grilled cheese donut, Animal Kingdom’s strawberry ice cream, and more. But this may be our most iconic hack yet!
Hello, friends, from Disney’s Animal Kingdom! ROAR!
We took some time to make our way around this WILD park to see what’s new since the last time we were here. So here are all the latest updates!
Here at DFB, we love a classic Disney treat, but we also can’t resist crafting up our own specialties from some of our favorite Disney snacks.
Today we’re rounding up our favorite food hacks to help you make already amazing treats even better!!
We’re always looking for new ways to enjoy Disney Parks treats, and when we come up with a new food hack — a combination of awesome treats — we just have to share. These five Disney Parks food hacks make dining on Disney sweet treats twice as fun!
Churros are a total must on any Disney trip (especially in Disneyland, where they’re served up warm and fresh!), and combining them with an ice cream sundae is kind of a genius idea. [Read more…]

The Grand Floridian Cafe in Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is known for its relatively understated decor (free of Disney characters and over-the-top styling) and its relaxing atmosphere. But there’s one thing here that’s not at all understated: the food!
Last fall, I shared the Lobster Thermidor and the Floridian Pancakes, both of which were fantastic, and just a couple of months ago we let you in on a little chicken-and-waffles hack.
We love a good Disney food hack — especially when it combines a duo of our favorite things. And today we’ve got a combo brought to us by Disney Food Blog reader Michael over at @DisneyNumNums! Join us at the Grand Floridian Cafe — and bring your stretchy pants!
Why? Because Michael tells us that if you start with the Grand Floridian Cafe’s Buttermilk Fried Chicken…
…you can end up with some killer Chicken and Waffles — with a Mickey Waffle, no less!
What, what?! In order to make this happen, all you have to do is request a waffle instead of the Crispy Potatoes, Kale, and Bacon that the chicken usually comes with!
You’ll get a choice between a Belgian Waffle and the Mickey Waffle — and you get to keep that Sriracha-Honey Drizzle (and get more on the side, if you want!)!
The server also brought hot maple syrup, butter, and ketchup — just in case you want to change things up a little! How fun is this?! Many thanks to Michael for sharing with us!

With so many creative and interesting snacks available at Disneyland Resort, it might seem like there’s no place for the simplest of treats: good ol’ fashioned Jell-o.
But that’s where White Water Snacks steps in — in the most magical way possible. Because White Water Snacks has Mickey-shaped Jello!
Woo! Back it up! Our Disneyland correspondent Heather (follow her @DiningInDisney!) stopped in for a snack recently, and discovered these jiggly mouse-shaped treats in a cooler in the grab-and-go section.
Also in this cooler are cream for coffee and packets of butter for other dishes — right next to a whipped cream canister.
Heather being the intrepid Disneyland snacker that she is spotted an opportunity immediately. The thick strawberry Jello was a decent portion and honestly as cute as one might reasonably expect Jello to be.
And now she had the perfect Jello food hack: cover that sweet treat in delicious whipped cream!
From every angle this has childhood favorite written all over it — only it’s not just a bowl of hastily spooned Jello. It’s Mickey!
Okay, so technically this is called Mickey Strawberry Gelatin, but we like to keep simple things simple: it’s Jell-o. And it’s delightful!
And that’s how Mickey Jello with Whipped Cream was born! And we love it in every way!
We’re so happy that the simplest food pleasures persist, even in the face of the incredible creativity and skill that brings pastries and desserts to life at the Disney Parks. And a food hack involving Whipped Cream? Always a win!

Hold your horses, cowpokes!
Because we’ve got a tasty new combo to show you courtesy of Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe.
Here’s the deal: you may already know (and love!) the Corn Dog Nuggets made famous in the Magic Kingdom thanks to Casey’s Corner. And now that PLASTIC CHEESE has returned to the beloved hot dog haven, you can dip those Nuggets right on into what I consider the World’s Best Condiment.
Plastic Cheese used to be available at Pecos Bill’s, too, when it was the Magic Kingdom’s most popular burger joint. But a few years ago this Counter Service spot switched to Mexican and Southwest-style fare, and the Pecos Bill’s Fixin’s Bar followed suit. (Plus Plastic Cheese had likewise been removed from Counter Service restaurants all over Disney World, anyhoo.)
But things are looking up with regard to CHEESE at Pecos Bill’s, because Queso Blanco has hit the scene! And we couldn’t help but immediately pair it up with a certain item on the Kids’ Menu, so we can now proudly present to you: Corn Dog Nuggets and Queso Blanco!
I’m a huge fan of queso blanco, and when it originally showed up on the menu at Pecos Bill’s, I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, it was lackluster, to say the least. Prepackaged. Lukewarm. Just… blah. [Read more…]

It’s time for a fabulous Disney Food Hack! This one’s for all my fellow Ice Cream Sandwich lovers out there — but it’s nothing like the ones you can already snag around the World at spots like Sleepy Hollow and Hollywood Scoops.
Nor is it one of the Macaron Ice Cream Sandwiches from L’Artisan des Glaces. OR a Gelato Sandwich from the Gelato Stand in Epcot’s Italy. OR the Double Chocolate ice cream sammie from Tamu Tamu in Animal Kingdom. It doesn’t even involve Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Sandwich (although it is so quintessentially Disney). [Read more…]
