The never-ending construction continues throughout Disney World! Seriously, could there be any more construction walls up?
We have updates on ongoing (and going…and going…) projects, as well as a few new ones! Let’s dive right in.
Navigating your way around Disney World can be pretty tough right now.
Even if you’re a seasoned Disney expert, a lot of things have changed in the parks, especially if you haven’t visited recently. Due to social distancing requirements, many lines stretch can FAR away from their ride entrances. At some stores and other spots, you may find that the back entrance you ALWAYS used to use is now shut and there are more limited entrances and exits.
So, recently we developed a handy-dandy map to help you easily maneuver your way around Magic Kingdom, and now we’ve made a similar map for EPCOT! This might just be the BEST map you’ll use during your upcoming trip.
This week, we’ve visited all four Disney Parks, along with a handful of resorts to check out the MANY projects they’ve got going on!
We have plenty of updates to share this week, so let’s dive right in!
We have a sad, sad story today.
Don’t worry — it has a happy ending! But boy is it a JOURNEY to get there. Today, we were just walkin’ around EPCOT: getting excited for all the food coming to the Flower and Garden Festival, admiring the new map…ya know, normal stuff. Then, we SAW it.
One of the biggest post-closure changes visible to guests when they travel to Disney World these days are the plexiglass dividers on rides. Over time, some rides have these barriers installed, like on Rise of the Resistance and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, to increase the ride’s capacity. Other rides, particularly fast-moving ones, originally opted instead to load every other row to allow for physical distancing.
In recent months, however, we noticed Disney shifting protocol to loading every single row, like what we saw change on Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster and Slinky Dog Dash.
EPCOT’s seen lots of construction lately.
While reinstallation of the Leave a Legacy panels just finished, there’s still walls up around projects like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and more. But today, we noticed some progress. EPCOT’s park icon was lookin’ just a little different!
As we get closer and closer to the celebration of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, there’s lots of construction taking place.
We’ve got lots of updates to share this week with projects underway in multiple parks and resorts! Let’s check them all out.
There is a lot of construction going on in EPCOT as part of that park’s massive transformation.
There’s work being done for the new fireworks show, the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride, and more. Just yesterday, we noticed that EPCOT’s Future World was looking very different. But today we stopped by the park again and things had changed…AGAIN.
Visiting EPCOT this weekend?
If so, we’ve got some news you’re gonna want to know! EPCOT has recently updated its park hours for this upcoming Saturday, February 20th.
It’s that time again!
Time to check out all the construction progress in Disney World, that is! This week, we’ve seen walls go up around a classic attraction and continued testing on EPCOT’s upcoming nighttime spectacular. Let’s jump right in!
