From the booth announcements for the 2022 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival to the coming opening of 2023 Walt Disney World vacation bookings, we’ve got a lot coming at us. But, there’s some news we DIDN’T see coming! Here are the three most unexpected things that happened at Disney World last month!

Most attractions found throughout Disney World offer the option of skipping the line as a part of Disney Genie+, but some are Individual Attraction Selections, meaning you pay more for those rides apart from Genie+. One EPCOT ride is making the switch from Individual Attraction Selection to being a part of Disney Genie+!

We got to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, saw the release of the Disney Pride Collection (with 100% of profits donated), and saw some exciting (and not so exciting) food updates! Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has officially opened in EPCOT!
It’s officially open!
Disney shared several weeks ago that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will (at least for now) will not offer a standby line, and will instead require guests to obtain a boarding group via a virtual queue in order to ride. In addition to a virtual queue, Cosmic Rewind will also be available as an Individual Lightning Lane selection (or pay-per-ride selection) via Disney Genie.

We’ve shared a full look at the ride (with both spoiler-filled and spoiler-free reviews), but now that the ride has officially opened we’ve got to talk about HOW to get on it.

We’ve already ridden the ride and have seen the queue, heard the songs you could get while on board, learned about the villain, and seen ALL of the merchandise that will be available! We also shared that a standby line will not be available for this ride for the time being, and instead a virtual queue will be used. Guests will also have the option to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane reservation (or pay-per-ride) the morning they wish to ride, and now we have more details on how much that will cost!
