Disney Genie+…the new way to skip the lines
In case you’re not quite caught up on the latest, Genie+ is the FastPass+ replacement that allows guests to skip the line at certain attractions. It costs $15 per person, per day, and guests can make reservations for Lightning Lanes (FastPass Lanes) at certain rides throughout the day. By now you probably know that the FastPass system has been replaced with Disney Genie+in Disney World.
Disney Genie has launched!
We’ve been using Genie+ since its introduction in October 2021, and this new service can be a bit confusing! If you use it right, though, it could mean skipping a LOT of time in line in Disney World. So, if you’re considering the starting cost of $15 to hop into the Lightning Lanes, you might want to check out five of the MOST important Disney Genie tips!

Cinderella Castle
Five years is a long time, even if a global pandemic never happened, and there have been a number of big changes in Disney World. If you haven’t visited Disney World in five years, you might be REALLY confused when you arrive, so we’re here to go over all the changes!
One of the reasons you may want to stay at one of Disney World’s resort hotels on your next vacation are the perks that come along with being an “on-property” guest. If you shell out the extra cash and you decide to stay at a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resort, then you’ll be eligible for an exclusive perk: extended evening park hours.

Gone are the days of Extra Magic Hours where all on-property guests could stay in the parks late on a designated day; this benefit is now solely for those guests staying at Disney World’s top-tier hotels. If you aren’t eligible for this perk, don’t fret! There are plenty of ways to still have the best day possible, and we’re going to tell you how to do so!
Expedition Everest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been closed for several months for refurbishment. It was scheduled to reopen in mid-April and, after a brief moment where that reopening timeline was removed from the website, we got the news that it would be reopening on April 16th!

Well, after a bumpy start to reopening this morning (it was closed for several hours due to technical difficulties), we are happy to say that Expedition Everest is officially open! With this reopening also comes a change to how Genie+ and Lightning Lane work for this attraction!
