What a week, right? The holidays have officially arrived and we’ve been to TWO after hours parties — one at Disney World AND one at Disneyland. And we’re eating a ton of holiday snacks and enjoying the holiday vibes at the parks and the hotels. Speaking of Disney World’s hotels… .
Today Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel & Spa debuted the completed 2021 life-size Gingerbread House!

If you visit Grand Floridian to see the Gingerbread House, you’ll also be able to shop for special treats from the Gingerbread House Menu! We tried three off the holiday treats today and here’s what we thought.
It’s the holiday season at Disney World, and we’ve been checking out ALL of the festivities!
SO PRETTY
We’ve seen decorations pop up in the parks and hotels, special food added to the menus around the resort, and even went to the first night of the Disney Very Merriest After Hours event. An iconic part of the holidays at Disney World are the gingerbread houses, and the most extravagant one is finally open for business!
It’s hard to beat Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa when it comes to Christmas cheer during the holiday season.
Grand Gingerbread House
This hotel is known for STUNNING Christmas decorations like a massive tree in the lobby. But the REAL winner of Grand Flo Christmas decor is the grand gingerbread house the pops up this time of year! Now, we’ve got a progress update!
The resorts around Disney World get decked out for the holiday season, but Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa might just be one of the most beautiful.

Holiday cheer is in the air at Walt Disney World!

EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays has officially begun, and we can’t wait to see everything the festival has in store! Although the big gingerbread displays at the resorts have been canceled this year, one annual gingerbread display is BACKÂ but in a new location.
Disney has made some AMAZING things out of gingerbread over the years!
Grand Floridian Gingerbread House in 2019
Even though there won’t be any massive gingerbread displays in the resorts this year, we have seen some very intricate, smaller creations, like a gingerbread/chocolate sculpture at Disney’s Grand Floridian and a gingerbread model of the Contemporary Resort. We’ll also be on the lookout for a gingerbread display to appear at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays! If all this talk of gingerbread is making you want to build a creation of your own, then we’ve got good news for you — shopDisney is holding a gingerbread contest this year!
2020 will be remembered for a lot of big things. It’s the year everything — including Disney World — shut down, the year we saw never before seen mask mandates in the park, and, for fans of the Holiday Season, the year we won’t get to see all of the elaborate gingerbread displays we’ve looked forward to each year at Disney World.Â

But there is at least ONE gingerbread display we know we can look forward to checking out this year (and it’s a favorite of ours!).
It may be a world of pumpkins and spice in Disney World right now (or still near 100 degrees!) but it’s time to start thinking about the Christmas season.

Disney just dropped a BOMBSHELL on everyone with details of what is — and more importantly ISN’T — going to be included in this year’s festivities at Disney World. We’ve now learned a long-time fan-favorite tradition won’t be making the cut this year.
Disneyland is home to some very impressive gingerbread works-of-art this holiday season!
Grand Californian Gingerbread Display
First, we were spooked out by the Haunted Mansion’s gingerbread house, then we were treated to the stately Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa’s gingerbread display located in its lobby!
