We’ve had so much fun spotting all of the different gingerbread displays tucked around Disney World. What’ve we found so far? A whole gingerbread lineup including supersized displays like the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House, the Beach Club Gingerbread Carousel, the Contemporary Gingerbread Castle, and the new Wilderness Lodge Gingerbread Cabin. Well today, we spotted a smaller display at Saratoga Springs that is still super impressive!
As you may already know, we were front and center at the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa’s Gingerbread House this morning!

And although Disney’s Grand Floridian’s Gingerbread House is SUPER magical in and of itself, we were truly enchanted by this special new holiday treat being sold inside its snack shop!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa today was FILLED with the sweet aroma of freshly baked gingerbread this morning!

And we were there to see this grand Disney World tradition (over 20 years in the making!) make its big debut — the Grand Floridian’s FABULOUS Gingerbread House!

As we reported earlier this week, construction has begun on the Grand Floridian‘s annual Gingerbread House! This life-size holiday treat tradition is over 20 years strong, and we are SO excited to see this year’s rendition! One of the most MASSIVE of Disney Holiday treat traditions has been found in the lobby of Grand Floridian Resort for over 20 years. Every year this structural confection appears in the lobby of the Grand Floridian and it’s so big it even features its own snack stand inside the house! The construction is always a huge effort and we saw the first steps go into place today at the resort!
Halloween is just hours away but things are starting to get festive already at Disney’s Contemporary Resort! The Contemporary Resort’s Gingerbread Castle in Disney World is going up AS WE SPEAK!

The beloved Gingerbread House has found its home back on the 4th floor of the Contemporary Resort, just past the Contemporary shops on the Grand Canyon Concourse.
The Gingerbread House in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa opened in its new spot on Wednesday, and we were there to check it out!

The pastry chefs (and in this case, they can also be considered construction workers and engineers, I’d say!) have been hard at work in the lobby, constructing a beautiful Craftsman-inspired replica of the hotel itself once again for 2017, with perfect shaping and details! [Read more…]

Seriously, the amazing Cast Members/cookie engineers/pastry chefs/magicians have outdone themselves again! The chimney is ready for Santa, the shingles are delightfully snowy, and the attention to detail is everywhere.
