We’ve been wondering what the future of restaurants will look like at Disney resorts. We’ve seen some spots make notable staffing cuts and the Re-Open Florida Task Force has been working hard to outline guidelines for the reopening of dining. Today, two big wigs behind some of Disney World’s and Disneyland’s restaurants offered up some insight into their businesses’ current situations.Â

Today, one of the discussion topics was the best ways to reopen restaurants (which has been discussed in previous meetings) for small-businesses, chains, and beyond. We’re wondering how we might see these recommendations take effect for dining in Disney World. So, here are some of the protocols that were suggested during today’s Task Force meeting!

With real estate, construction, cruise lines, and airports on the list of items, the team worked to envision what reopening may look like for these industries. Cruises are a notably at-risk model during the global health crisis, so members of the task force stepped forward to expand on their priorities for cruise lines.

There’s no doubt about it, there’s a lot of uncertainty about the current situation. And while we understand that Disney World will remain closed until there is more clarity on how things progress, there are a few questions that we hope they’ll address sooner rather than later.

The state of Florida has recently put together a task force charged with brainstorming and orchestrating the reopening of the state as the global health crisis improves.

The task force, which includes Disney World President Josh D’Amaro, met today to discuss what sort of health measures may be necessary for industries throughout the state — including the Orlando theme parks. Though Disney did not speak at the meeting, Universal Orlando brought up several possibilities that their teams have been looking at to keep guests and employees safe.

Adventures by Disney has just moved to further cancellations of various Disney trips as travel remains one of the most affected industries. As of now, most Adventures by Disney departures are suspended through June 30th, 2020.
