Welcome back, DFB foodies! We’re here with another What’s New at the Monorail Resorts in Disney World.
We’ve got lots of construction, entertainment, merch, and food updates for ya, so let’s dig on in!
Can you believe we’re only 6 weeks away from Frozen 2‘s release?!
While we’ve seen the Arendelle Aqua treats around the parks, the newest dessert blowing into Disney World is almost as sweet as the Arendelle sisters themselves!
Ahh, cheese: basically one of our favorite food groups here at DFB.
If you’re as obsessed as we are (and we are pretty passionate), you’ll want to know EXACTLY where you can find the best cheese in Disney, from killer mac to cream cheese frosting excellence and more! And, we’ve got the greatest list for you, friends… .
In the pantheon of Walt Disney World character meals, 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa has not historically been one of our favorites.
It’s passable, with food that will fill you up even if it’s otherwise lackluster. And the atmosphere is in keeping with the Victorian stylings of the Resort, which many guests really embrace and enjoy.
There are characters at breakfast and dinner that cover a lot of ground. The Supercalifragilistic Breakfast brings Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, Winnie-the-Pooh, and Tigger together in an inexplicable mash-up of British-y and colorful characters. Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner is a little more thematic, with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella.
Afternoons from 2PM to 3PM, 1900 Park Fare transforms for guests age 4-12 into the Wonderland Tea Party. This party is hosted by Alice in Wonderland and a couple of her friends and features apple juice masquerading as tea, the chance to decorate a cupcake, and a few fun games. Click here to read more about it!
Of all the options, the dinner line-up of characters offer the most fun for grown-ups, with Lady Tremaine and the Step-Sisters bringing the funny. But are the characters worth the price…and has the food improved since our last visit?
To get to 1900 Park Fare, you’ll need to find your way to the Grand Floridian Resort, located on the monorail loop and right next door to Magic Kingdom. [Read more…]
Does your little one dream of getting a royal makeover?

If you know us… you know how much we LOVE cupcakes!
That’s why we we’re happy to bring you a NEW Mocha Cupcake at Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

The Grand Floridian Gingerbread House has been a tradition for 20 years at Disney World’s flagship Resort!
The 14 feet tall house is made with 1,050 lbs of honey, 800 lbs of flour, 600 lbs of chocolate, 600 lbs of powdered sugar, 140 pints of egg whites, 35 lbs of spices, and, according to Disney, “tons of Disney Magic and Pixie Dust.”
It just so happens that the requisite “tons of Disney Magic and Pixie Dust” come by way of a full team of pastry chefs! And Disney Parks Blog has provided a time-lapse video showing the building of the Gingerbread House in the lobby as a fun holiday treat. Enjoy! [Read more…]
