Citricos has officially reopened at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort!
Citricos closed last year to undergo refurbishments, including updates to give it a Mary Poppins Returns theme! The menu was also updated with several new dishes ahead of its reopening. We stopped by to check out the new menu and decor — we constantly enjoy meals at Citricos, so the new menu is something we were looking forward to! We adored the ambience in the past, so let’s see how the re-theme impacted our experience.

We can’t wait to revisit places like the Port Orleans Resorts and we were SO excited to finally eat again at ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. But today takes us to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, where Citricos has finally reopened!
Change is something that has become synonymous with Disney World over the years and more particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic. The changes with FastPasses+, entertainment, and extra magic hours had some people wondering if a trip to Disney World was even worth it anymore.
Speaking of Extra Magic Hours, in 2021, Disney World replaced the hotel perk with Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours. If you are unfamiliar with Extra Magic Hours, they were first implemented to allow guests staying at a Disney Hotel to either gain early access or stay later in the theme parks. The idea is still the same, but a bit simpler with Early Theme Park Entry allowing guests to enter any of the parks 30 minutes early every day to get a head start. What a week, right?
It’s been a super exciting one for us at DFB — we FINALLY got to see Casey’s Corner reopening, and we started seeing reopening dates for other restaurants at Disney World. And reopenings also mean we get a peek at new menus, so we’ve got a few of those in our updates, along with some brand new snacks!
Disney World is gearing up for its big 50th anniversary celebrations and there are a TON of new things to look forward to!
There is a new fireworks show and projections coming to Magic Kingdom, a new daytime show coming to Animal Kingdom, the debut of Harmonious in EPCOT, golden character statues will be going up around the parks, and we’re FINALLY getting the opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure! Disney recently announced that they will be offering extended evening theme park hours for select guests for the big anniversary, and we’re here to tell you which guests will get the new perk!
