It’s no secret that with Disney’s purchase of the Marvel Universe, the Walt Disney Company was banking on bringing superheroes to its many theme parks. Disneyland in California and Disneyland Paris are getting superhero-themed lands, and Hong Kong Disneyland is getting a Marvel-themed ride.
But even with copious development in Walt Disney World, the only major Marvel Comics-related growth is Epcot’s Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster. There’s no Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, or big green Hulk in sight.Â
Universal Studios, as you may have guessed if you’re a fan of their hero-themed rides and entertainment, retained the rights to the Marvel characters in an agreement signed in 1994 between Marvel and MCA (which would eventually become part of NBC Universal). But there were two caveats. One: Universal had to actually use the characters to retain control over them, and Two: the agreement split the country down the middle, and the rules applied separately to the areas east and west of the Mississippi River. Greetings from Epcot! Between enjoying the Flower and Garden Festival, seeing construction progress (on SO many projects), finding new paper straws, menu updates, and so much new merchandise… well, we were pretty busy!

WOW! Our latest visit to Epcot was packed with new finds! We caught up on all of the construction progress in the park, found new menu items, enjoyed some adorable sweet treats, and added more Disney items to our must-buy list!

It’s officially spring, and Epcot is hoppin’ as the 2019 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival continues! But that’s not the only thing going on in this changing park… We checked out all of the construction, found some new merchandise, spotted some new food, and even more along the way!
We’ll start this week’s visit out in World Showcase where there are two Flower and Garden Festival updates.

We started our visit out checking on the progress of the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction.
Epcot is in the middle of a multi-year transformation.
The transformation includes new rides, a Play Pavilion, re-imagined park entrance, new restaurants, and a new nighttime spectacular. Our latest visit to Epcot included catching up on the progress of all of this construction.
We started our visit out in Future World and checking on the progress of the Guardians of the Galaxy ride.
Epcot is busy getting ready for the Flower and Garden Festival to start next week, but that isn’t all that is happening! We found so many changes, lots of new merchandise, the return of a hidden gem, and as always lots of construction progress!

Every visit to Epcot is filled with construction updates, new food, and fun merchandise — and this visit to Epcot is jam-packed with new food (including gluten-free snacks, chocolate covered pretzels,and more), the cutest and sweetest smelling merchandise, and progress on new rides, restaurants, and the Skyliner.
