Are you ready for another trip around the World? We’ve got lots of new eats, treats, and Gaston-themed Feasts coming at you for this round of What’s New (along with a peek at a lot — and I mean A LOT — of stuff to come!).
We’re kicking off our latest jaunt at the most Magical of All Kingdoms…
A recent visit to the Magic Kingdom revealed changes and additions — both big and small — to Counter Service spots all over the park.
But the one that might just take the cake (CUPcake, that is!) is the new Donald Duck Vanilla Cupcake at the Main Street Bakery! [Read more…]

We are on the hunt today for some refreshing snacks at Walt Disney World!
Fortunately, the parks host a wide range of places where you can score fresh fruit and veggies. When I’m in Magic Kingdom, I love to see what’s new at Liberty Square Market, and at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a stop by Anaheim Produce will net you some good fresh finds.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, I head for Harambe Fruit Market!
Clearly we can see that this place is right up my alley — just look at their liberal use of exclamation points!!!!!! ;-D
Harambe Fruit Market offers a really good variety of [Read more…]

Today, we are sharing with you some brand new treats that we’ve discovered at one of our favorite spots in Animal Kingdom, Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery!
This tiny spot has a huge cult following (and I’m right at the front of the line) for their amazing baked goods, like the White Chocolate Elephant Cupcake and the Paw Print Brownie.
But they’ve just debuted a couple more snacks that have me counting the days until my next Disney trip!
The fantastic new treats go beautifully with the already stellar (though limited) list that you could find there previously. Some of the items are available all day, while others are only available in the afternoon.
Let’s take a look at a couple of the new items!
First up — a pastry that is perfectly named for noshing at Animal Kingdom. That’s right, folks, we have Elephant Ears for you today.
The enormous pastries, made from puff pastry layered with a [Read more…]

Thanks to one of our readers, we have a mini-review of the new food happenings at Disney’s Animal Kingdom — including a vegetarian cart in Asia, and fresh-cut fruit bowls at Harambe. And just wait until you see the gorgeous fruit salad at Tamu Tamu Refreshments…
Disney’s Animal Kingdom has introduced several yummy new treats this Summer! We’ve told you about the brand new Sundowner Celebration already, and here are a few other new additions for those trekking through this gorgeous theme park in Walt Disney World!
As we announced on our Disney Food News Pin Board this week, Bradley Falls Egg Roll stand has changed its menu.
It now offers Summer Rolls (a different recipe than was there before), an Asian Noodle Salad, a Lychee Salad, and Fresh Edamame!
The Asian noodles are sweet, sour, and spicy with fresh broccoli, snow peas, carrots, and red pepper with a hint of sesame oil. The dish is garnished with black sesame seeds and green onion!
And Bradley Falls has a yummy-looking fruit salad, complete with pineapple, mango, grapes, blueberries, kiwi, and lychee! Pretty amazing looking, eh?
The edmame were cooked perfectly and served [Read more…]

Disney Food for Families columnist Erin Foster has a very adventurous eater in her family — her daughter, Josie! Here are some great suggestions for kids who want something a bit different than the standard kids’ meal fare!
I’ve written before about my finicky, fearful daughter Louisa who never met a chicken nugget she didn’t like.
As it turns out, her twin sister Josie has a completely opposite dining profile. Josie will try anything, loves exploring new foods, and craves variety to spice up her meals. An endless stream of pizza bores her. If you have an adventurous eater in your life, you’ll want to find options beyond the ubiquitous pizza, pasta, hot dogs, and nuggets.
In recent years, Disney has done a somewhat better job of providing a range of healthy and innovative foods on their childrens’ menus. Here I’m going to focus on some of the out-of-the-pizza-box Walt Disney World children’s counter service meal and snack options for those looking to avoid the kid food basics while on the go.
and Cosmic Ray’s offer mixed greens with chicken for [Read more…]
