Slowly but surely, our favorite entertainment is coming back to Disney World!

From the parades to the stage shows, we’ve been excited whenever we’ve seen another Disney World performance return to the parks. We recently saw the reopening of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and the revamped version of Animal Kingdom’s Finding Nemo musical, Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond! We noticed showtimes for another Animal Kingdom show!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
opened on April 22, 1998. But this past Memorial Day weekend ushered in a whole new era for the park, which is now open through the evening for the first time since the park’s opening date.

After so much waiting, things are finally coming together at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Mark your calendars for April 22 — Earth Day — for the debut of the new nighttime spectacular: Rivers of Light!! [Editor’s Update: Please note that since the original publishing of this article, Disney has announced that the Rivers of Light spectacular will be delayed, and they will be releasing further information regarding an updated debut date in mid-late May 2016.]

But while we are still awaiting more details about the timeline of other coming attractions, like Avatarland, we have a couple of other things to look forward to in the near future.
