Fireworks are coming back to Walt Disney World soon!

Disney recently announced that starting July 1st, firework shows will return to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. That’s THIS WEEK, PEOPLE! Fireworks shows have not been shown in Disney World in over a year, so there have been some test runs before the big opening night! We recently spotted Happily Ever After running Magic Kingdom after the park had closed, and last night, we saw something special going on in EPCOT!!
There are some things in Disney World that the average guest won’t ever see!

From fireworks shows to general maintenance, it takes a lot of work to keep the parks magical for guests. And that involves several things that only happen once the parks are already closed for the day! Let’s peek behind the closed gates and see what happens late each night in Disney World.
Doesn’t it feel like we’ve been talking about EPCOT’s Transformation for YEARS? Well, that’s because we have been talking about all of the exciting projects in development at EPCOT for some time now — remember wayyy back at the 2019 D23 Expo when we first got a glimpse at all of those retro-inspired posters and Spaceship Earth model that once sat in the EPCOT Experience (the EPCOT Experience has since closed).

Previously, we only knew some small details — like the updates to the park icons and the new costumes for Mickey and Minnie. But now, we’ve got BIG news on some very exciting celebrations, and we’re rounding up all the announcements into one post!
EPCOT is undergoing a LOT of changes.

An expansion at the France Pavilion — including the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction — will open on October 1st, and construction continues on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and the new Space 220 restaurant. But there’s something else on the way: an all-new nighttime spectacular! And now, we finally know when this new show — Harmonious — will light up the skies.
