La Luce has announced their first Wine Dinner at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek resort (within the gates of Walt Disney World Resort!). We love this place for awesome risotto specials each day, killer fresh pastas and sauces, and…wait for it…the Butterscotch Pudding! No, I’m serious! Check out a review of La Luce here.

OK, for those of you headed to Orlando (or who live near Orlando) in July, I am truly jealous. The first ever Cupcake Lovers Weekend at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek has officially been announced!!

Scheduled for July 8-10, 2011, this sugary-sweet weekend is open to all guests at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort (sounds like the perfect follow-up to dinner at La Luce…).

Must-Do Milkshake: Frozen Hot Chocolate at Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort

Those of you who have been lucky enough to visit Serendipity 3 in New York City know the wonders of frozen hot chocolate!

Made with blended milk, ice cream, and hot chocolate and topped with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and a cherry, this chilly treat is the perfect addition to an afternoon by the pool.

When I first tried the original recipe at Serendipity 3, I was bowled over with how different it was from a regular milkshake. Using the hot chocolate gives it a stronger chocolate flavor and a sweeter overall impression.

There’s just more taste there than you get in a standard chocolate milkshake, and the same rings true with the version served at Beech, the pool bar at the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort. The flavor itself is truly an indulgence, so don’t plan to sip quickly! By the way, this version is technically sold “for two,” but I promise it’s OK if you drink it all yourself… 😉

Comfort Food and Mom’s Day Breakfast in Bed at Hilton Bonnet Creek

The Hilton Bonnet Creek is located within the gates of Walt Disney World and continues to offer some incredible dining options and deals for those visiting the parks. In the past few weeks, they’ve featured a couple of interesting options that I hope I’m able to try out.

Comfort Food every day! The Harvest Bistro chefs at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek create comfort food with flair. While traveling, it’s comforting to have a taste of home. Chefs highlight a different comfort food each day using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Meatloaf, Baked Macaroni & Cheese and Barbecue Baby Back Ribs were some of the recent offerings.

Don’t forget that kids 12 and under eat free for breakfast and dinner when an adult meal is purchased! Your reservation can be made by calling 407-597-3600.

Announcing the Breakfast in Bed Experience for Mom
The Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek knows what moms want! Imagine that it’s Mother’s Day morning and the kids are working with the Harvest Bistro staff to make mom breakfast. While they work, mom can enjoy some quiet time. Before delivering breakfast, the kids will also make a fresh flower bouquet!

I love this idea and my son even at age 11 would absolutely delight in helping the Chef create breakfast. This is a creative, innovative and absolutely fun idea for the entire family. I only wish that my family had plans to visit Orlando for Mother’s Day. If you are lucky enough to be in central Florida in May, consider this great treat for Mom!
