The holiday season is underway in Disney World, and it’s time to take things up a notch!
Disney says it’s the holiday season!
We were at the opening night of Disney Very Merriest After Hours to check out all that the new event had to offer and bring you our thoughts and reviews. We tried some treats, enjoyed some entertainment, and just generally got into the holly jolly spirit. But was our evening worth the hefty price we paid to attend? Let’s discuss.

The holidays in Hollywood Studios
We know — we’re not even halfway through November and it feels like Halloween decoration just came down, but Disney is already fully celebrating the holidays! The first Disney Very Merriest After Hours event took place the other night, Christmas trees and gingerbread houses are up around the parks and hotels, and there’s even festive food available! Something a lot of people look forward to every year is the Disney Christmas Special that airs on Christmas Day on ABC, and today, we saw filming for the special taking place in EPCOT!
It’s the holiday season at Disney World, and we’ve been checking out ALL of the festivities!
SO PRETTY
We’ve seen decorations pop up in the parks and hotels, special food added to the menus around the resort, and even went to the first night of the Disney Very Merriest After Hours event. An iconic part of the holidays at Disney World are the gingerbread houses, and the most extravagant one is finally open for business!

There are lots of new treats to try out, we’ve seen new merchandise in the shops, and the Very Merriest After Hours event has begun. All of the parks have been putting up decorations over the last week or so (and some started even earlier than that!), except for one. We’ve been trying some special treats, watched the new stage show, and saw the return of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. This After Hours event has replaced Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year, and has come with a higher price tag. However, that price tag does include some freebies that you can get during the event!
Happy holidays everybody! Tonight is the first night of Magic Kingdom’s Very Merriest After Hours, a ticketed event featuring exclusive entertainment, food, and more.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
Tonight also marks the return of parades at Disney World (we have only had cavalcades since the closure) with Very Merry After Hours’ exclusive parade, the Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade!
