We still don’t believe it, but it’s really happening: A Monsters, Inc. land is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

We’ll admit this was one announcement we totally did NOT expect from D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, but we are STOKED. That’s because Disney also announced that we were finally getting the ride we’ve been wanting since 2001, when Monsters, Inc. landed in movie theaters: a ride based on the doors scene in the movie — and y’all, IT IS HAPPENING! Seriously, just go ahead and pinch us because we think we’re dreaming. Anyway, we’ve actually been hunting down some more details about the new ride and we think we found some clues about it.

One of the biggest announcements at the recent D23 Ultimate Fan Event was the news that a massive Monsters, Inc.-themed land is coming to Hollywood Studios. However, along with the excitement over the land, there’s also been consternation about where the land will go. Turns out, some of the concept art gives us a hint as to just where it might go… and just how long Disney has been planning this expansion.

There are so many perks when you decide to stay at a Disney World hotel!

Those who stay at a Disney World hotel get to take advantage of complimentary transportation across the resort, which includes buses, watercraft, monorails, and even the Skyliner. Guests of these hotels also can enjoy Early Theme Park Entry, where each day, they can enter the theme parks 30 minutes before the general public. Starting in 2025, all Disney World hotel guests will receive FREE admission to either Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park on their day of check-in. There is also a big perk for those hotel guests who stay at a Deluxe Resort.

At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney announced that a Monsters, Inc. Land will be coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Disney announced that the new land would include Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster that will have you zooming through the factory via a door. Other than that, Disney didn’t reveal too many other details about this new land, but we did notice something in the concept art that gives a HUGE hint about a restaurant coming to the land!

But we get really excited when we get to report that a ride or attraction is re-opening which is the case this week! For the first time ever, Disney has announced a brand-new Monsters, Inc-themed land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney dropped some MAJOR park news on us. They announced several new lands for Disney World, new nighttime entertainment, new rides, new shows, and so much more! There was a lot to take in at the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase on August 10th. But the new Monsters, Inc. Land that was announced certainly intrigued us, especially the first-ever suspended roller coaster in a Disney park!

Like, y’all — we expected Disney to make some announcements about new additions coming to Disney World, but Disney completely blew our expectations out of the water. Now, we’re just trying to sort through all the awesomeness, like a Monsters, Inc. land, a new Cars land, a new Villains Land (we still can’t believe this announcement happened), and more. So we’ve taken all of those Disney World announcements and put them into a timeline of when they’re actually coming to Disney World.
