Disney really decided to throw us a mug-stravaganza yesterday!
We were doin’ our thang, reporting around Disney World when we came across a bunch of new mugs scattered around the resort. We’re big fans of these designs. Can YOU find a new favorite?
Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios welcomed back guests last week!
We gave readers a brief overview of our experience after visiting the restaurant. We’re back to give you a detailed review and answer the most frequently asked question, “Is dining here worth it??” Since both restaurants reopened within days of each other, we found ourselves comparing our experience to Cinderella’s Royal Table character dining. You might be surprised to learn our verdict of which character dining came out on top. Hollywood & Vine is amping up the character dining experience and offering a vastly improved menu than they have in the past. Step inside Hollywood & Vine and see what we mean!
It feels like it’s been AGES since Disney World was anything close to “normal.”
Throughout the pandemic, the parks have either been closed entirely or operating with significant health and safety restrictions. But now that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the state is moving into a new phase of reopening, will things at Disney World look different?
It doesn’t matter how many times we’ve listened to both Frozen soundtracks, we can’t help but get emotional every time. And, even though Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been bringing back other entertainment, we’ve REALLY been missing the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration in the park!
While many shows and character interactions have been suspended during this time, experiences like Minnie’s Halloween Dine at Hollywood and Vine, Character Cavalcades, and even visits from friends and foes in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge have been taking place.
If you’ve ever found yourself pining for real life Toy Story toys (and who hasn’t?!), then we’ve got some exciting news for you!
Disney World JUST added new toys at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and beyond making sounds and phrases, they actually TALK!
Things may come and go in Disney World as the re-opening of the parks is an evolving situation. While some attractions that we may love have returned, others are taking a hiatus or closing altogether.
Recently, live entertainment hasn’t been back in the parks in the capacity that we’ve been used to in the past. Parades have been switched out for Character Cavalcades, fireworks are just starting to be tested again after being suspended, and character meet-and-greets are currently on a break (even though there are still a few modified character dining options in the parks and resorts).
Since the reopening, we’ve seen a few character dining experiences return.
You can now see Cinderella (very quickly) at Cinderella’s Royal Table, wave at the Beast in Be Our Guest Restaurant, and get some fun photos with Mickey and some of his friends at Garden Grill Restaurant and Topolino’s Terrace. Today, character dining also returned to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with a Halloween twist!
After Disney World’s reopening, we slowly began to see weekend park pass availability beginning to fill up for Annual Passholders on a regular basis, particularly with Disney’s Hollywood Studios. (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is still a HUGE draw.)
And most recently, we noticed that weekends in October were beginning to fill up for Annual Passholders.
Bright Suns, traveler! This summer Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge celebrated its first anniversary! It is impossible to fathom — it feels like just yesterday that we were walking through the gates to The Black Spire Outpost for the first time. We get chills just thinking about it!
Traditionally the first-anniversary gift is paper, but we always find it best to celebrate with something of the food or drink variety. Disney Parks Blog is here with an assist. They’ve published the recipe for the famous, non-alcoholic, Cliff Dweller.
Hello, everyone, from Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
So what’s new at Disney’s Hollywood Studios since the last time we checked in? Not a lot, but here’s what we found.
