Let’s get ready to ROCK.
One of our favorite rollercoasters in Disney World is Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Can you blame us? It’s a high-speed “super-stretch limo” ride through loops and turns, all while listening to Aerosmith. That’s pretty killer! Today, we’re celebrating this iconic coaster with some new merch!
It’s hard to believe but the Disney World theme parks have been reopened for ONE MONTH already! Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom welcomed guests back on July 7 for their Cast Member previews, and since then the four parks have begun their phased reopenings.
With the promise of limited capacity, we have witnessed drastically lower crowds than what we would typically see during the summer season. But how have these crowd levels changed over the last month? This is a question we’re getting more and more often from our readers and social media followers, so let’s find out!
If there’s 0ne bit of important advice we can pass on to you it’s that hydration is KEY when you’re visiting Disney World. Getting your daily dose of H2O is important no matter where you are, but when you are getting tens of thousands of steps in each day, often in sweltering heat, drinking enough water is crucial.
There are multiple ways to acquire water in the Disney theme parks, and the water bottle refill stations are an eco-friendly and less expensive way of doing so. But with the current sanitation practices, many guests are wondering if they’re still available and operational. And the answer is…sometimes.
Is there anything better than strolling the streets of Hollywood Studios with that old Hollywood music playing?
We’re not sure there is! Well, we swung by Disney’s Hollywood Studios to grab and update on all things cinema. Last time we were here we spotted some WACKY Mickey Glove Ears and we couldn’t find a droid we were looking for — what’s in store today? Here’s everything new in food, construction, and merchandise!
The global health crisis has brought along another major event cancellation in Disney World.
Disney Vacation Club Members get to enjoy lots of different perks — one of the newest being the Moonlight Magic events that give them after-hours access to the theme parks to attend dance parties, eat snacks, ride rides, and meet characters. We’ve already seen several of the events canceled, and now the rest of the scheduled Moonlight Magic events have been canceled for 2020.
Ah, Rise of the Resistance — we see you’re making news again!
We were reporting in Hollywood Studios today when we spotted something a little bit different about the way that Boarding Groups look in the My Disney Experience app. That’s right, we’re joining Rise of the Resistance’s Virtual Queue to check out a new update!
Although Walt Disney World has officially reopened, not all attractions and shows have reopened along with it.
Recently we’ve seen some experiences reopen that were not initially available. Other offerings, however, like the classic live shows at Disney’s Animal Kingdom like Finding Nemo: The Musical and Festival of the Lion King still remain closed. Now, we’ve got some new somewhat balanced news about entertainment offerings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It seems one show is temporarily going away, but another performance will be temporarily appearing in its place!
Ah, the world where mouse rules apply!
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is still SUPER fresh in Disney World, and though this new attraction is super high demand, it seems like Disney might still be doing some work on the ride building. We spotted some new construction permits for the Chinese Theater in Hollywood Studios!
Disney World and Disneyland have LOTS of construction planned for multiple attractions and experiences around the parks over the next few years (we can’t wait to see the new The Princess and the Frog ride).
Construction has just started to pick up in the parks after the closures, with other projects being postponed until later dates. However, Disney continues to be one step ahead in planning the next big thing coming to the parks. And, there might be an entirely new line of space cocktails that could come with the creation of Disney’s next bar!
