Today, we’ve been chatting about all things Haunted Mansion since it is, in fact, The Haunted Mansion’s 50th anniversary. To celebrate, Disneyland has released a bunch of mansion-themed treats. As soon as we saw the Dead-Cadent Funnel Cake, we knew we had to try it!
Welcome foodie mortals! In case you didn’t know, the Haunted Mansion will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on August 9th.
Not only will Disneyland be ghost hosting a Haunted Mansion event but both Disneyland and Disney World will be selling exclusive merchandise and treats.
Too busy riding the Matterhorn to grab a bite before seeing Fantasmic! in the evening? Don’t worry — now you can get your meal to go in Disneyland without compromising how many times you can visit your favorite attractions!

Sometimes the sides that come with a meal are better than the actual entrees. That’s definitely the case with crunchy and juicy onion rings!
We love us some onion rings, but they’re even MO BETTA with lots of delicious toppings. And, we just happened to sniff out some onion rings that aren’t being advertised that much around Disneyland!
We LOVE getting secret menu items, especially when they’re REALLY good.
That’s why we were so excited to learn about this change to the existing secret Loaded Fries from Disneyland’s Hungry Bear Restaurant.

Each time we visit Disneyland we see more signs of the resort moving towards the elimination of single-use plastic straws. Last week we saw the first paper straws in Disneyland Park at Hungry Bear Restaurant.
This week we found paper straws at many more of Disneyland’s counter service locations, including Stage Door Cafe, Rancho Del Zocalo, and Galactic Grill. Just a few weeks ago two of these locations were still using plastic straws and lids.
You may have been following along with the updates regarding Disney’s commitment to reducing single-use plastics around Disney destinations worldwide in 2019.
While progress is being made towards these efforts, we’re finding that the realization of these goals seems to be in different phases in different spots. Take, for instance, this tale of Counter Service locations in Disneyland per a walk-around at the park today. Hungry Bear Restaurant is currently offering guests paper straws. [Read more…]
