The options we found at World of Disney in Downtown Disney today include a Mickey-shaped lollipop, a Dole Whip… [Read more…]
We’re always looking for new ways to enjoy Disney Parks treats, and when we come up with a new food hack — a combination of awesome treats — we just have to share. These five Disney Parks food hacks make dining on Disney sweet treats twice as fun!
Churros are a total must on any Disney trip (especially in Disneyland, where they’re served up warm and fresh!), and combining them with an ice cream sundae is kind of a genius idea. [Read more…]
at Disneyland Resort is offering a sweet treat for Halloween Time — and it combines churros and cereal! Here’s the Churro Bites Cereal Sundae!
If that sounds like an awesome combination of words, imagine how great it is in reality! These are fruity-cereal dusted churro bites, sugary glaze, a scoop of fruity ice cream, some raspberry sauce, and a smattering of fruity cereal! [Read more…]

We are stopping into Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop today for our latest DFB Video!
You’ll find two Disney locations for Ghirardelli — one in Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs, and the other in Disneyland’s Disney California Adventure. While we love all of the Ice Cream, Cocoa, Coffee, and Chocolate Goodies you can get in both stores, today we’ll be focusing on the Disneyland location.
If you love ice cream sundaes made with only the finest quality ingredients, then Ghirardelli is the place for you. [Read more…]

So, you’re in Disney World, but for whatever reason, you don’t want to use a park ticket that morning/night/afternoon/arrival day/leaving day. No problemo!!
You can still cross some of the best Disney snacks off your must-eat list…even without scanning a single ticket/magicband/key to the World card!
Everyone knows that you can get a Mickey Bar all over the place in Disney World (you DID know that, right?), but we’ve got a few more must-try eats to share with you today! Time to check out our 5 Must Eat Disney Snacks You Can Get Without a Park Ticket!
UPDATE: Dole Whip is no longer being served at Captain Cook’s, is no longer self-serve, and is no longer available 24 hours a day. BUT — you still can get it outside of the Parks. You’ll now find Dole Whip at the Pineapple Lanai in Disney’s Polynesian Village. You can also get a Dole Whip Float at Pineapple Lanai!
Let’s start with the granddaddy of them all, the Big Kahuna of Disney Must Have Treats, the stuff that legends and t shirts are made of. Ladies and gentleman, we are talking about the Dole Whip here, of course.
This frosty, delicious treat has a bona fide cult following that has blown up and taken over mainstream! You simply cannot visit Disney without having one, whether it’s a float (my favorite!) or a cup.
The pineapple soft serve, which is both vegan and gluten-free, is the perfect refreshing dessert on a sunshiny day!
Even though there are few things that say “I’m at Disney right now!!!!!!” more loud and proud than strolling through Magic Kingdom, Dole Whip Float from Aloha Isle in hand, it’s great to know that you don’t ever have to head into the parks to score one of these babies!
If you’re craving some of that tropical goodness and you aren’t on park time, just head over to Captain Cook’s Snack Company at Disney’s Polynesian Resort to get your fix! The Poly’s counter service spot is not only home to some deee-licious fast fare, but they also have Dole Whip machines that pump out the yum dessert.
And here’s a BIG OL’ TIP: You can get a Dole Whip here all day…and all night!! long. 😀 Note, they DO shut down the machine for, like, one hour each night to clean it (believe me, I’ve been disappointed during that one hour before); so just avoid the 3AM Dole Whip craving and you’re good to go.
Ah, Zebra Domes. How (much) do I love thee? Enough to truck all the way over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge regardless of where I’m staying, that’s how much.
These little half-spheres first called to us from the buffet of Boma, one of Animal Kingdom Lodge’s most celebrated table service restaurants. Sure, we love Boma for their exotic dinner fare (those soups!), their carved meats and interesting condiments, and their delicious breakfast spread. But one thing’s for sure: a trip here must end with at least one Zebra Dome.
The creamy, rich mousse domes taste like nothing you’ve ever had. That’s because the secret special ingredient is [Read more…]

Guys, it is so hot out there!! And when I’m sweltering and sweating, there’s one thing I know to do: eat more ice cream.
Fortunately, that’s not a hard proposition when you’re in Walt Disney World — just check out our Ice Cream Gallery for the goods!
Today, I’m heading over to DinoLand U.S.A. (YAY!!!!!!) in Disney’s Animal Kingdom to one of my favorite ice cream stops, Dino-Bite Snacks!
With its shiny quilted aluminum siding, this little snack shack has a vintage feel that matches the rest of DinoLand U.S.A. It serves up ice cream in a variety of ways, plus churros and other snacks.
Most of the time, a stop for me here means just one thing: a hand-made ice cream cookie sandwich! But I decided to branch out just a bit today and try their new-to-me Old-Fashioned Hot Fudge Sundae.
You’ll find Dino-Bite Snacks just to the right of Restaurantosaurus (YAY!!!!!!!!!!!) as you’re facing the counter service spot. It’s not much more than a kiosk, with separate windows for ordering and pick up.
Like I mentioned, the menu is limited only to snacks and beverages. Nothing here would make a meal — unless you fancy an ice cream sandwich in place of breakfast. (I’m not necessarily admitting I’ve done this before, but…)
Hand-scooped ice cream is available, but there are only a few varieties. Choose from vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, or chocolate chip. You can also get a float here as well!
But we hadn’t tried the hot fudge sundae, so I decided this was the day. Once I ordered my sundae at window number one, [Read more…]

Welcome back guest author Joey Beyer to the Disney Food Blog with a groovy review of Pop Century’s food court!
On a recent trip to Walt Disney World, I had multiple firsts, which included the Liberty Tree Tavern, Le Cellier, and lunch at the Tusker House.
Today however, I will be discussing the food court at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This was my first time staying at Pop Century, and my motivation was all the positive things I had heard about the “Everything Pop” food court.
The Pop Century food court is well organized and, even when it was very busy, it never felt overly crowded.
The panoply of foods that each station offered also impressed me. Breakfast offers everything from the standard Disney baked goods (e.g. cheese danishes and muffins) to breakfast burritos to the famous Pop Century waffles.
Lunch and dinner sees the stations change to a deli counter, a grill, a pizza and pasta station, and a Mexican/Asian cuisine station. Sweet treats from the bakery such as cake, cookies, and cupcakes are offered throughout the day.
At breakfast time I sampled a Pop Century waffle, a cheese Danish (a longstanding Disney resort favorite of mine since I was very young), banana bread, and the blueberry muffin.
Of these options, the Pop waffle stands out the most. It may just be me, but something about that “Pop!” in the middle of the waffle makes it taste that [Read more…]

Many of you know I just got back home TODAY from a trip to Walt Disney World! And while I was there I explored LOTS of new eats and treats to share with you.
But before I start tackling laundry, I couldn’t wait to showcase this little beauty…
I know what you’re thinking — “Gosh, that looks an awful lot like a scoop of ice cream on top of a cupcake.” Yep — it sure does! But that, my friends, is a big ol’ ice cream scoop’s worth of FROSTING…yes indeed. Let’s take a closer look:
When I first walked into the Bakery (which I always do, because I want to see what fun new stuff they have), my eye was immediately drawn to these. All lined up in white and pink, they truly did look like [Read more…]
